Clinton to Israel: Stop Evicting Palestinians from East Jerusalem
Monday, August 03, 2009 at 2:55 pm
Over the weekend, Israel evicted two Palestinian families from largely-Palestinian East Jerusalem, a move met with near-universal international condemnation. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, in a joint appearance at the State Department with her Jordanian counterpart about an hour ago, said Israel’s move is “not in keeping with Israeli obligations.” AFP reports:
“Both sides have responsibilities to refrain from provocative actions that can block the path toward a comprehensive peace agreement,” the chief US diplomat continued.
“Unilateral actions taken by either party cannot be used to prejudge the outcome of negotiations. And they will not be recognized as changing the status quo.”
Here’s a moving video from Joseph Dana and Mairav Zonszein, two American-Israeli peace activists, documenting the evictions on the ground (After the jump).

God will do to Israel what he has always done: destroy it and scatter the Israelies. And he will do it for exactly the same reason he always has: lack of humanity.

How could Israel say the Palestinians have been living there illegally when those people have been there for 50 years and even have the proof of ownership!

I don't think what Israel did is right. They violated the promise they gave to keep peace between themselves and Palestinians. Now, they're going face humanity issues with the whole world.
