WorldNetDaily: We Had ‘Journalistic Responsibility’ to Post Forged Document

By
Monday, August 03, 2009 at 1:58 pm

WorldNetDaily has put out a news release on its, uh, “scoop” about the forged “Kenyan birth certificate” that Orly Taitz has filed in court as proof of the president’s foreign ties. WND, says editor-in-chief Joseph Farah, is “working with document experts in the U.S. and with sources in Kenya” to verify the document. Which experts? Which sources? Don’t ask. Listen to Farah:

Our goal, as always, is to seek the truth. This is not our document. It is evidence that has (sic) presented in a high-profile court case. And, thus, I believe we had a journalistic responsibility to publish it — just as I think every other news organization does.

WND has a deeply amusing idea of what “journalism” is supposed to be.

I don’t trust ANY politician and almost no one in the media. I still want two answers.

1) Why can't we see his long-form? Obama knows that millions of citizens want to see it yet he continues to hide it. What/why is he hiding?

and most disturbingly,

2) Why don't BHO's supporters want to know the whole truth, especially since there’s a reward of $100,000 for proof that Obama is a “natural born” citizen of the United States.

OBAMA, STOP HIDING. SHOW US THE LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!!!!

Here's the “proof” we have of President Obama's qualifications to serve: hearsay from his supporters, hearsay from Hawaiian officials as they carefully parse their words, and an image shown on a private website. Such overwhelming evidence, isn't it?

Dear Birthers: let's see YOUR birth certificate. Do you even have one? As far as I know (a favorite phrase of Republican congressmen), you're a bunch of anti-American terrorists who pose a danger to our country.

No? Prove YOU are a citizen! Post YOUR birth certificate here.

Guess what, little boys. YOURS will look much like Obama's, I'll bet. Like mine, from 1952 — with no more information that Obama's. Not ALL cities, counties and states do things the same.

You'd all look honest, at least, if you just admitted your racism. Right now, you're grasping at fake straws and letting a commie-Russian do your thinking for you.

Poor boys. Imagine that. The majority of the American populace voted for a black man as your President, and it's driven you crazy. Need drugs? Oh yeah. You'll be against improved health care, too.

Wrong! In fact, we have everything from the FBI (who would have done a background check), CIA (he'd have to get security clearance as a Senator), Selective Service, the Secret Service, the Social Security Administration and the IRS (all of whom would have to be wrong AND in on the conspiracy since he was born) to an actual certificate of live birth and newspaper birth notices — to say nothing of simple common sense — that tells a different story than the one you fatuous morons want so desperately to believe.

Seriously. Where's YOUR proof? All you do is assert. Prove something or shut up.

Ok, seriously. There's a birth announcement in not one but TWO local Hawaiin newspapers on the date of Barack Obama's birth – and if you don't believe me, you can try this really neat concept that we learned about in 3rd grade called “research” and check it out yourself. Do you all REALLY think that his parents thought “well, this Kenyan might one day grow up to be President of the United States, we'd better post fake birth announcements in some American newspapers just in case.” Is that REALLY what you believe?

There's dumb, and then there's willfully ignorant. Remarkably, you “birthers” have managed to achieve both. Congratulations. No wonder you lot don't believe in evolution, it appears to have completely passed you by.

Joseph Farah is such a big deal journalist that he sent these demands to appear on O'Reilly's show.

O'Reilly producer Ron Mitchell contacted Farah Sunday night asking if he could be on the program tonight. Farah replied that he was available and that details could be worked out with his publicist, Maria Sliwa.

In turn, Sliwa presented Mitchell with a short list of criteria for Farah's appearance:

* Though a sober and civil discourse is always welcome, shouting is not;

* No other guests on during the segment with Mr. Farah;

* Discussion to be limited to the facts of the story;

* Accurate, approved description of Mr. Farah and news organization he represents;

* Screen ID chyron to be approved by Mr. Farah.

Ha ha ha! The president could produce the long form, a infant picture of him freshly born wrapped in an American flag outside of the hospital and proof of his birth via flux capacitor and the birthers would still question the legitimacy of his presidency.

28% of Republicans think he wasn't born in the US. 28%! More than 1 in 4 Republicans! That's ridiculously awesome!

Maybe that's why you're the minority party…

The great thing is that, if you follow that link, and then the one to the Honolulu Advertiser under the photo of Mrs. Eleanor Nordyke (holding up copies, issued in 1965, of her twins' 1961 birth certificates), you'll find that the good Mrs. Nordyke “was in labor at Kapiolani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital the same time as Obama's late mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, Nordyke said. She gave birth to twins the day after Obama was born, Nordyke said, and her daughters later attended Punahou School with Obama.” But of course the birthers just have to write her off as another part of the global conspiracy….

There are problems with your post.

Let's start with the things we all want to see that your list left out:

- Boy Scout merit badges earned;

- Little League at-bat record;

- List of girls considered icky in 2nd grade;

- 3rd grade essay titled: “GI Joe: Reconsidering Whether to Fight the Cobra Foe”;

- Secret Decoder Ring combination;

- proof of purchase from Cap'n Crunch in which said Secret Decoder Ring was obtained;

- belts obtained in tae kwon do;

- name and gender of every date taken to any junior high or high school dance;

- High school locker combination;

- Receipts for guitars purchased in effort to subversively woo white women;

- Prescriptions for any medicinal marijuana obtained at Occidental;

- Alphabetized list of iPod contents;

- Pizza coupons that haven't expired cause we're running low on fundage;

- Your picks for this year's Oscars, starting with “Best sound editing”;

- Mattress tags that say “Do not remove under penalty of law.”

Okay, now that we got that out of the way, let's resolve your lie about Obama “spending millions to hide” anything in any lawsuit.

The claim that Obama is spending that sum, or any sum, comes from an attorney named Kreep (not kidding) who represented Alan Keyes in his lawsuit against the state of California, seeking to prevent CA from certifying its election results. Kreep made the claim that Obama was spending “hundreds of thousands, if not millions” to defend the birther suits. Obama's lawyer in the case flatly denied that and said that he's in fact working pro bono. Birther suits get tossed on motions to dismiss, at the very outset of litigation. Doesn't take much time anyway, even if you were charging for your work.

This is all set forth in a Politico article from March 2009. See for yourself.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0209/19450…

My favorite part of the article, though, is the one that is more timely. Orly Taitz is dragging down the conservatives as she flails about endlessly with the birthers…

“Conservatives see that hazard.

The conservative talk show host Michael Medved recently referred to the movement's leaders as “crazy, nutburger, demagogue, money-hungry, exploitative, irresponsible, filthy conservative imposters” who are “the worst enemy of the conservative movement.”

“It makes us look weird. It makes us look crazy. It makes us look demented. It makes us look sick, troubled, and not suitable for civilized company,” he mourned.

One of the lead anti-Obama lawyers, Orly Taitz, a California dentist with a degree from an online law school, promptly threatened to sue Medved for defamation.”

Anything else, buffoon?

Okay, Obama may (or may not be) writing checks for a defense team. He is however a servant to the American people and currently on our payroll, right? Or have you forgotten that?

…I mentioned lawsuits?

Being aware of the call to cease and desist the BC question for fear of offending…. I must ask again…

what about his kindergarten records, his Punahou school records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records, his Columbia thesis, his Harvard Law School records, his Harvard Law Review articles, his scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, his passport, his medical records, his files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records, and his adoption records.

Shouldn't a public servant make these things (or anything) available to his employer?

Your missing the point. To teach you, here's a homework assignment.

Watch the news channel of your choice and count the number of times you hear an ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PEOPLE say “my constituents think” instead of “what I think” next time when they defend their stance on legislation….

If you work for the CIA/FBI/Defense then MAYBE all that stuff is part of your interview but Obama was elected by popular vote and electoral college (without the help of the Supreme Court beholden to his daddy for their lifetime welfare appointments or the late Mike Connell who rerouted the voting machines of several states through his servers before letting them report to the secretaries of state, applying “corrected” vote tallies and sealing Mr. Connell's doom) and he is the mother effing president and the racist right wingers not only can't stand this fact, they are willing to go to extreme lengths to make up stories about how it couldn't possibly be true because in their heads it proves they are losers. “Your missing the point. To teach you, here's a homework assignment.”

Lesson 1:

Your = possessive pronoun

You're = contraction of “you” and “are”

Lesson 2 – No elected official has to show you any of the things you talked about. You're just a person. You're not God. His Columbia thesis isn't relevant to whether he was born here.

If you have some right to see the ridiculous list of things you repeated, sue him and make him show you.

Otherwise, you're just a crank who didn't vote for him. You don't like him. Whooptie-doo. Why should he have to take time out of his day spent trying to fix our economy and command our wars just to give his critics more irrelevant material to bitch about?

You just want to screech about nonsense to make him pay attention to you, and then if he ever did pay attention to you, you'd say “LOOKIT, the Muslim Usurper took his eye off the ball. S'posed to be fixin' the economy, and he's dickin' around trying to prove he's American when we can all see he's not! What kinda American name is Barack Hussein Obama?”

Our elected officials don't hide behind such fig leaves as “my constituents think.” Those who are too cowardly to state their own opinions don't get re-elected, or elected in the first place.

NONE of them think it is your business what their own kindergarten, baptism, or adoption records say. Get a grip.

So…keep waiting, genius.

stephenperry
Comment posted August 4, 2009 @ 1:37 am

You're showing us why you chose your moniker, buffoon.

Your own ridiculous argument actually illustrates another facet of the flawed cubic zirconia that is the birther movement.

The President got serious scrutiny from the FBI during its background checks of him for Senate and President. Remember how they took a break during the Sotomayor hearings to do a closed-door session with Sotomayor? That was to go over her FBI background check.

Obama got one when he became a Senator-elect and another as President-elect. (of course, Bush spied on him just like he spies on us, but the official one is called a “background check.”)

Obama also received security clearance from the CIA to be allowed to sit on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, because that's where top-secret foreign intelligence gets discussed.

So no, the President doesn't deserve less scrutiny than an FBI agent. He deserves to be, and was, scrutinized BY FBI agents.

Wow, indeed.

For example: Obama attented church services at Rev. Jerimah Wright's church for 20 years
and Obama sat there week after week hearing Rev. Wright condem American and he was asking God to Dam America. Also, when the Pledge of Allegence was being said, Obama had
his hands to his side. Obama has gone to church once -right after his Inaugaration and has never set foot in another church since. Obama promised us everything and to this day, he has

By your pretzel logic, none of the thousands of people of different races who attended Trinity United could possibly be U.S. citizens.

They all sat there and listened to Reverend Wright. Wonder why their heads didn't explode?

Oh, right, because they live in the real world, not a racist faux-construct where you have to agree with everything your preacher says and you never allow your preacher to tell you the truth about anything.

You are silly if you don't understand that many people are correctly taught to put their hand over their heart for the National Anthem and to stand respectfully during the Pledge. We went over this ad nauseum during the election. You're way too late to make hay with that now.

And you have no idea, zero, how many times Obama went to church since “Inaugaration” (when the hell was that and why didn't any news media cover it? I'd like to see one of those. Never heard of it! Is there an open bar?) or any other time. You're not with him all the time. You don't see what he does every waking minute.

I don't know about whether the Rapture will happen before or after all HELL breaks loose, but I have never know God to make it easy on Christians. Obama and his followers will have a ball together. Haven't even figured out yet if he could be the Anti Christ, the last one to come. I care deeply about my country and my freedoms which have been stepped on for some time now. There is very little freedom left in this country now. Especially since The New Deal. So we have let our freedoms be taken away slowly which is exactly what the commies said would happen. It would be our grandchildren from that time that would dwindle away all of our freedoms. They have done it and we have allowed it. We have taken God out of our schools which takes away any type of responsibility. If it feels good do it. I now see Scientology commercials on TV and want to cry. We have to fight back if we are to regain our country, whether republican,democrate,independant, or neutral. If we dont' all is lost. I cry for what my father fought for and what our four fathers fought for. It is all but gone. If we don't fight for justice it is lost. If we don't fight our country is lost.

The kenyan bc was put up on the internet to show people the certificate. It was not put up there to say it is definetly real. It has been put up to show it is there and she is having people go over it to see if it is real or fake. She never said it was real. Why don't you guys get your facts right. Obama put up a cert that has been tampered with on the internet. That has been proven to be sometimes real sometimes fake. The problem is we want to see the LONG FORM BC. Don't go and tell me the records were destroyed either. The Hawaiian BC department said they still have all of the originals stored. They cannot by law destroy them. But for some reason Obama does not want to. You don't spend that much money of the party to hide facts about yourself unless he really has something he wants no one to know. I want to know.Many other people also want to know. Believe me we are not all republicans, it is a mixture of Republicans, Independants and Democrates. Some others in there also. I remember her behind a curtain not knowing a mic was on and saying “those whities” I think that is kind of predudicial. Also, how about the beer feast at the White House with Gates and such. Well, you really want to know how old people will be treated on the health bill watch how Obama walks out the front door a head of his so called friend Gates with a cane having a hard time walking but who is the one helping Gates, Oh that's right the White Cop that was called a racist and stupid. Who is the real racist here. We want to see how his funds were gotten and his birth certificate to make sure he is even old enough. He might be fooling everyone that he is not even 35. But other people have been vetted in California and 2 or 3 found not eligible because of age or of a parent. So it would not hurt anyone for him to show it. Unless there is something to hide.

Not true, Obama did not pass one background check at all. He was never properly vetting in California like others have been. Even McCain had to prove he was eligible to run. So why not Obama? Also did you know that if he were to try and get a job with the CIA he would not pass the background check. He would fail. I don't like Obama, but him being black is not why I don't like him. I read his records in the Senate, I watched him and knew when he was lying about his record. How many people read his records in the Senate before they were closed? I did on several of them. His votes were horrible. He is not able to run our country but he is able to take away freedom if we continue to let him.

Well, it's getting out in the drive-by media now.

From David Hahn, “Publisher StatePaper.com ” August 5, 2009.

Publisher: Obama Should Produce Original Birth Certificate

At StatePaper.com, we know by making this statement we will be instantly tagged as “racist,” “birther,” or other pejorative terms by those who defend the President of the United States. We often defend the President and the job he is doing and are regularly lambasted for being “too liberal” or an “Obama lover” by some of our most prolific critics.

But, here is the issue:

The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of our country. Article II of the Constitution requires the President to be a natural born citizen. Without reciting them here, there appears to be some serious questions raised about whether President Obama was born in the United States or Kenya. We have not checked sources, but there are reports that some witnessed his birth in Kenya.

The President's campaign staff and then his administration have released and placed on the internet a “Certificate of Live Birth.” We do not dispute the validity or correctness of that document as others have tried to do, suggesting the use of computers to alter seals and names. By releasing this document the President agrees that the claims about his status as a natural born citizen is an open, important, public issue.

But, this “Certificate of Live Birth” is simply not the best evidence that the President and his administration could offer to lay to rest any doubt about his status as a natural born citizen.

Barack Obama is a lawyer and a graduate of Harvard Law School. All law students study the body of law we call “Evidence.” One of the core tenets of American law is the “best evidence rule” which requires the production of original, or certified copies, of original document to prove a fact. Abstracts and summaries are not original documents.

The President has offered an abstract (Certificate) of his birth, but not an original birth certificate which would be the best evidence of his birth. We need the best evidence so that it can do what the best evidence is meant to do; dispel the doubts about a fact. We need to see the Birth Certificate. That's the one that is often handwritten and signed by the doctor.

Lawyers and legal thinkers will, obviously, argue the finer points of the “Best Evidence Rule” and its applicability to this matter. But, that misses the point. The notion of “Best Evidence” is solidly-grounded in law. This is an important public matter and it seems now that the President has started down the path of offering some evidence (Certificate of Live Birth), he should offer the “best evidence” (Original Birth Certificate) which is the source document for his birth. The document behind the document which has been released. This is what is needed now in the court of public knowledge.

The fact in question here is the constitutional qualification of the President of the United States to hold office. With a simple nod, the President could offer the American people the best evidence, the source document(s), as he learned about at Harvard, and dispel those who question his birth as a natural born citizen. His failure to provide this best evidence, when it could be so easily done, raises only more questions, which fuels an ugly public debate.

I guess there are some things that not even a journalism school graduate can stomach.

I think this is the fifth thread you've posted this on.

All that effort, yet you can't be bothered to look up the Best Evidence Rule and see that it does not allow you to extract evidence that is legally unavailable, as is an original birth certificate in Hawai'i? You're stuck with the COLB, which is perfectly “close enough for government work.”

For that matter, you went to all this trouble and still won't bother to look up the phrase “burden of proof?” Hint: it's on the plaintiff unless the defendant raises an affirmative defense. Birthers are plaintiffs in all birther lawsuits. Hence… birthers make snide remarks about the President's race and make up gibberish about how he's spending a billion dollars on legal fees.

I don't blame birthers. Not much else to say when your whole argument is based on being a racist sore-loser.

“I already have read Michele's thesis, plain and simple , she hates whites. I remember her behind a curtain not knowing a mic was on and saying “those whities” I think that is kind of predudicial.”

Lies. You haven't read her thesis. She doesn't hate whites. She never said anything about “Whitey” or “whities.” Bullshit lies. That's why you don't post links.

I think THAT is kind of “predudicial” (whatever the fuck that means).

Nor should you talk out of your ass about disorderly conduct charges that are dismissed because they are unsupportable. It is not against the law to yell at a police officer who is questioning you. It's called freedom of speech.

Lawrence O'Donnell wrote about it in Time magazine:

“There is no crime described in Crowley's official version of the way Gates behaved. Crowley says explicitly that he arrested Gates for yelling. Nothing else, not a single threatening movement, just yelling. On the steps of his own home. Yelling is not a crime. Yelling does not meet the definition of disorderly conduct in Massachusetts. Not a single shouted word or action that Crowley has attributed to Gates amounts to disorderly conduct. That is why the charges had to be dropped.

In classically phony police talk, Crowley refers to '[Gates'] continued tumultuous behavior.' When cops write that way, you know they have nothing. What is tumultuous behavior? Here's what it isn't: brandishing a knife in a threatening manner, punching and kicking, clenching a fist in a threatening manner, throwing a wrench or, in the Gates house, maybe a book. If the subject does any of those things, cops always write it out with precision. When they've got nothing, they use phrases that mean nothing. Phrases like tumultuous behavior.

Unless you confess to a crime or threaten to commit a crime, there is nothing you can say to a cop that makes it legal for him to arrest you. You can tell him he is stupid, you can tell him he is ugly, you can call him racist, you can say anything you might feel like saying about his mother. He has taken an oath to listen to all of that and ignore it. That is the real teachable moment here: cops are paid to be professionals, but even the best of them are human and can make stupid mistakes.”

Now shut up until there is a post you know ANYTHING about. Disingenuous racist lying wretch.

“Even McCain had to prove he was eligible to run. So why not Obama?”

Obama – born in America

McCain – born in Panama

Anything else? Oh, yes. One more thing:

“Also did you know that if he were to try and get a job with the CIA he would not pass the background check”

Fail. Senate Foreign Relations Committee – requires CIA security clearance to be able to hear foreign intelligence secrets.

Oh one more:

“I don't like Obama, but him being black is not why I don't like him. I read his records in the Senate…”

MY GOD. No one believes you read his records in the Senate. No one believes your dislike of Obama is based on ANYTHING but his race. His Senate records are NOT “closed.” Bullshit lies and nothing but bullshit lies from you.

Where do you people come from? You should go back there post haste. We have enough dumbfuck racists here already.

Wow. You think Obama could be the Anti-Christ. You think the New Deal took away your freedoms.

No wonder you think Obama is going to steal country music and mayonnaise from white people.

If you weren't so stupid, you'd be perfect for randypuppy. Problem is, he's chronically stupid too. You too wouldn't be able to get into the Early Bird Special at the local Cracker Barrel because you'd both be leaning against a door that says “PULL.”

It probably does make you an idiot, and certainly makes you a racist, to continue this silly birther pretext.

Ask the Wall Street Journal, although they use the more colorful “lunatic,” in place of “idiot.”

Observe:

“It would not surprise us if there does turn out to be a racist strain among the birther fringe. After all, birthers are lunatics and racists are lunatics. It does not follow, however, that all lunatics are racists.”

http://online.wsj.com/public/article/SB10001424…

Racist? Fringe? Ouch. You probably won't be thanking the editors of the Wall Street Journal for calling you such funny names. But then, they don't care what you think, since you're a “lunatic.”

Just look at what else they told you, in the same article I linked above:

“But a 'controversy' has arisen over President Obama’s birthplace. We use those scare quotes advisedly, because there’s no real dispute over the matter, just some nuts with a conspiracy theory, a handful of Republican lawmakers who have been either foolish or fearful enough to lend some credibility to the theory, and Democrats who have spotted an excellent opportunity to make the GOP look foolish.”

See, genius? “No real dispute over the matter,” just “some nuts with a conspiracy theory.”

Here's where you're supposed to say something idiotic about ACORN, you racist idiot.

Oh, and you left out sore-loser as well.

You disagree with him because he is black. You cannot “recognize what he is” because you are blinded by his blackness.

This is patently obvious to anyone, even a buffoon.

Please tell me you're prepared to double down on your idiocy by denying and protesting. Everyone here can read what you have already written and no one buys what you're selling.

I disagree with him because HE is a racist and a Marxist.

Since I “can't” recognize what he is, explain to me to me hows he's not a redistributionist with a racial axe to grind.

Tsk. They stopped being qualified as “democrat” decades ago.

Let's see…. They're a national party, right? And they're socialists, no question.

So they're “National Socialists.”

So rephrase your question to cute little stevie like this:

“Would you identify yourself as a National Socialist or a feel-good thieving redistributionist of another sordid, filthy, hateful variety?”

Sorry for the snark, but we've got to maintain the precise use of language when dealing with the Obamaphiles.

With ms windows 7  designs available in all parts of Windows 7 Ultimate, Internet is one medium to choose the best Cheap Windows 7 at competitive prices and that too at a store near your Office 2010 Professional. Below http://hohosoftware.wordpress.com summarize some Microsoft Office 2010 to help you choose the best Office 2007 Enterprise for your corporate as well as office 2007 product key : Generally, while http://hohosoftware.blogspot.com are searching Office 2007 Key, we just type in our window 7  and start browsing the http://peaksoftwares.blogspot.com which appear in the Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise. The simple solution to Windows 7 Professional  would have been, assuming that the Buy Windows 7 buyer resides in India, to search for the keyword “Microsoft Windows 7 India” or “Windows 7 Home Premium  in India” instead of the keyword “Download Office 2010” because when the buyer searched for “buy office 2007”, sites from different countries showed up, microsoft office professional 2010 plus might have had good designs Office 2007 download were not available in window 7 but they were of no use.
