FreeRepublic.com Founder Attacks ‘Kenyan Birth Certificate’ Forgery

The FreeRepublic.com forums have been roiled by conservative activists debating whether or not the Kenyan “certified copy of registration of birth” released by Orly Taitz is genuine. Jim Robinson, the Fresno, Calif.-based founder and owner of the site, has chimed in with his own view that the document is forged.

[O]ne of our moderators spotted this:

It has several clues, but also there’s this question:

Who is E. F. Lavender?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=earth+friendly+lavender&aq=f&oq=&aqi

Earth Friendly Lavender detergent?

Insult to injury: The conspiracy site WorldNetDaily, which had the image of the forged certificate first, is running a poll and asking readers whether they think it’s genuine. As of 9:30 a.m., opinion was running 4-1 against, with a plurality of readers saying “even if this Kenya document isn’t real, I’m still convinced Obama is hiding something huge about who he really is.”

When the World Nut Daily is skeptical about this alleged document, it's got to be bogus. Let's face it birthers, Taitz is yanking you chain on this one. This is a fools errand and she's using your hate of Obama to drag you down with her. She's got to making a mint off your donations. Wake up people and stop this foolishness.

The Oily Taint strikes again. Ha, you birthers are so deluded that you glom onto any crumb of manufactured BS in the hope you can finally have That One ejected from the White House.

This is beyond amusing and I think there just might be a cottage industry churning out Kenyan Birth Certificates for people.

False rumor. A letter of complaint was sent in April to the Chief Trial Counsel of the State Bar of the State of California but so far no evidence of any action. It's important to get the facts right, for either side

This man has clearly gone off the deep end! I feel sorry for him.

Sour grapes I guess. God help him.

Indeed, odds are that it is a fake. Unlike any document presented by Obama, however, this one was PRESENTED TO A COURT.

Do you understand how retarded the belief in factcheck is? They have no more authority or trustworthiness than Taitz does, except that she will at least bring things open to scrutiny, unlike Obama.

Apparently the Ortiz site was hacked and the first post of the document was changed; a number and a typed signature changed and a “revised” document then shows. I have seen images of both…. The second image is fake for sure, questions remain about the first of course but I have not yet heard a definitive resolution regarding such…. Obama, Jr. can resolve the issue quickly by just releasing his birth vault document and numerous other related material.

You said: “Do you understand how retarded the belief in factcheck is?”

How does believing an organization backed by Annenberg over a lawyer who have never won a single case and got her degree from online count as “retarded”?

Who cares if 'the Ortiz site” was hacked? Stop telling us lies about David Ortiz. We know he was on drugs.

We're focused on Orly Taitz and the bullshit bogus Kenyan birf sirtifikat she posted online and filed with the court.

See, that's the problem with your latest attempt to save the birther movement from itself.

You can see the court-filed motion, including the motion's most famous exhibit. So no point in making up a lie about someone hacking into Orly Taitz's (how'd you fuck that up into Ortiz?) website.

Obama doesn't need to resolve this nonsense. The COLB resolved it. A year ago. Now he needs to focus on getting his Presidential agenda pushed through Congress.

Stop lying. Or at least lie in a humorous or instructive way.

“Obama, Jr. can resolve the issue quickly by just releasing his birth vault document and numerous other related material.”

Stop lying!
Even if Obama released EVERYTHING you want it will NEVER be enough for you!
No matter what he releases you will call it fake, so quit your lying!

Why release the Birth Vault record? He has already released proof that he was born in Hawaii. You're asking him to prove the same thing twice.

Please don't give me the “COLB is not a BC stuff”. The COLB is an official document, suitable for passports or driver's licenses, and unless there is some serious flaw, there is no reason (beyond simple fishing expeditions) to doubt it,

“retarded” is a very poor debunking of factcheck's credentials, especially from a crew who believes in some anonymous blogger named “Polarik” (whoever that really is). I'm baffled how you think you can just dismiss them out of hand.

They don't accept a COLB to prove he is a citizen but accept one to prove he isn't. Gawd, such hypocrites.

There's no rumor here. The letter's already been sent off. State Bars don't take action right away; sometimes it can take months for these things to play out. Either way, if even half the stuff mentioned in the excerpt from from that letter is true, then centipede is exactly right: she'll never be able to practice law anywhere ever again.

These tin hat folks are funny. If Jesus walked up to them they would not know him.
They would see perhaps a scruffy looking guy with a beard and sandals and say who is this left wing hippie. They would deny he could be the Christ because gosh he did not look like them. Well Obama does not look like them either and they don't want to look at him as president because he does not look like them. Sad Sad Sad.

Well, it's getting out in the drive-by media now.

From David Hahn, “Publisher StatePaper.com ” August 5, 2009.

Publisher: Obama Should Produce Original Birth Certificate

At StatePaper.com, we know by making this statement we will be instantly tagged as “racist,” “birther,” or other pejorative terms by those who defend the President of the United States. We often defend the President and the job he is doing and are regularly lambasted for being “too liberal” or an “Obama lover” by some of our most prolific critics.

But, here is the issue:

The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of our country. Article II of the Constitution requires the President to be a natural born citizen. Without reciting them here, there appears to be some serious questions raised about whether President Obama was born in the United States or Kenya. We have not checked sources, but there are reports that some witnessed his birth in Kenya.

The President's campaign staff and then his administration have released and placed on the internet a “Certificate of Live Birth.” We do not dispute the validity or correctness of that document as others have tried to do, suggesting the use of computers to alter seals and names. By releasing this document the President agrees that the claims about his status as a natural born citizen is an open, important, public issue.

But, this “Certificate of Live Birth” is simply not the best evidence that the President and his administration could offer to lay to rest any doubt about his status as a natural born citizen.

Barack Obama is a lawyer and a graduate of Harvard Law School. All law students study the body of law we call “Evidence.” One of the core tenets of American law is the “best evidence rule” which requires the production of original, or certified copies, of original document to prove a fact. Abstracts and summaries are not original documents.

The President has offered an abstract (Certificate) of his birth, but not an original birth certificate which would be the best evidence of his birth. We need the best evidence so that it can do what the best evidence is meant to do; dispel the doubts about a fact. We need to see the Birth Certificate. That's the one that is often handwritten and signed by the doctor.

Lawyers and legal thinkers will, obviously, argue the finer points of the “Best Evidence Rule” and its applicability to this matter. But, that misses the point. The notion of “Best Evidence” is solidly-grounded in law. This is an important public matter and it seems now that the President has started down the path of offering some evidence (Certificate of Live Birth), he should offer the “best evidence” (Original Birth Certificate) which is the source document for his birth. The document behind the document which has been released. This is what is needed now in the court of public knowledge.

The fact in question here is the constitutional qualification of the President of the United States to hold office. With a simple nod, the President could offer the American people the best evidence, the source document(s), as he learned about at Harvard, and dispel those who question his birth as a natural born citizen. His failure to provide this best evidence, when it could be so easily done, raises only more questions, which fuels an ugly public debate.

I guess there are some things that not even a journalism school graduate can stomach.

I am the part you won't recognise.
But get used to me.
Black, confident, cocky
My name, not yours.
My religon, not yours.
My goals, my own.
Get used to me.

Or President Barack Hussein Obama.
