I'm an American who like many others, has supported the Constitution of this great country. However, I have never before in my life been as angry or disenchanted with our government and government officials as I have been since the Democrats took control of both Houses of Congress and the White House.

I am one missed off American Vietnam Veteran who is tired of the bull —t, affirmative action programs, and, union support career politicians. I am also sick and tired of the lip wristed liver lipped lovers occupying career political positions and the worthless bitches like Pelosi and Boxer who are supported by their liver lipped loving liberal friends from their Cali Forn Ya districts.

Publisher: Obama Should Produce Original Birth Certificate

At StatePaper.com, we know by making this statement we will be instantly tagged as "racist," "birther," or other pejorative terms by those who defend the President of the United States. We often defend the President and the job he is doing and are regularly lambasted for being "too liberal" or an "Obama lover" by some of our most prolific critics.

But, here is the issue:

The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of our country. Article II of the Constitution requires the President to be a natural born citizen. Without reciting them here, there appears to be some serious questions raised about whether President Obama was born in the United States or Kenya. We have not checked sources, but there are reports that some witnessed his birth in Kenya.

The President's campaign staff and then his administration have released and placed on the internet a "Certificate of Live Birth." We do not dispute the validity or correctness of that document as others have tried to do, suggesting the use of computers to alter seals and names. By releasing this document the President agrees that the claims about his status as a natural born citizen is an open, important, public issue.

But, this "Certificate of Live Birth" is simply not the best evidence that the President and his administration could offer to lay to rest any doubt about his status as a natural born citizen.

Barack Obama is a lawyer and a graduate of Harvard Law School. All law students study the body of law we call "Evidence." One of the core tenets of American law is the "best evidence rule" which requires the production of original, or certified copies, of original document to prove a fact. Abstracts and summaries are not original documents.

The President has offered an abstract (Certificate) of his birth, but not an original birth certificate which would be the best evidence of his birth. We need the best evidence so that it can do what the best evidence is meant to do; dispel the doubts about a fact. We need to see the Birth Certificate. That's the one that is often handwritten and signed by the doctor.

Lawyers and legal thinkers will, obviously, argue the finer points of the "Best Evidence Rule" and its applicability to this matter. But, that misses the point. The notion of "Best Evidence" is solidly-grounded in law. This is an important public matter and it seems now that the President has started down the path of offering some evidence (Certificate of Live Birth), he should offer the "best evidence" (Original Birth Certificate) which is the source document for his birth. The document behind the document which has been released. This is what is needed now in the court of public knowledge.

The fact in question here is the constitutional qualification of the President of the United States to hold office. With a simple nod, the President could offer the American people the best evidence, the source document(s), as he learned about at Harvard, and dispel those who question his birth as a natural born citizen. His failure to provide this best evidence, when it could be so easily done, raises only more questions, which fuels an ugly public debate.

Looks as if even a J-school guy can admit the common sense of the situation if he's pushed far enough, long enough.

The simple fact is probably that Obama was indeed born in Hawaii as a dual-citizen & chose at 18 which one to be. He was given a pass for his time as an Indonesian because he was a minor during that time. The big question is “Which citizenship did he prefer and assume?” That COLB is not the end-all the Obama kool-aid drinkers claim. Hawaii allegedly “lost” all the paper copies of BCs from that time period after entering the information in a database in recent years. Who can guarantee Obama's paper BC on file there was not from Kenya? I recently read about a transexual who had his BC changed to reflect his new gender. Looks like BCs can be legally altered as well.

Well, you mustn't expect anyone stupid enough to stand for public office to have the wit to appreciate technically practicable tactical and strategic hostile actions. Wargamers fiddling with Flight Simulators have been kamikaze-ing airliners into the United Nations building (most wargamers are strong history buffs, well aware of international politics, and therefore hate the United Nations) ever since the earliest versions of that computer game came out.

But the bureaucrats and the politicians neither think like wargamers (who are extremely smart people, for all their nerdy geekishness) nor do they listen when their cadres of geeks-for-hire tell them about what can and might be done to slaughter the citizens for whose protection these "public servants" are responsible.

You can post such warnings in Esperanto on bulletin boards and then claim that Dubbya "knew about the attacks in advance" and that would make about as much sense. Given his capacities - indeed, as I've said about all such popularity contest winners - that's like expecting a Handi-Wipe to absorb the output of a fire hose.

Not that anyone should be surprised by this, but the Ku Klux Klan's political roots are in the Democrat Party. They used to haul Republican bureaucrats and politicians out of their beds in the night, club them, whip them, and string them up.

Nowadays, it's the drive-by media who do that, and (unfortunately or not) only figuratively.

President Obama has posted his birth certificate online, it has been verified by an independant third party, the Hawaiian officials have publically stated that the certificate of live birth (which is what I have from WA. does that make me un-American?) is exactly the same document as a birth certificate. The officials also stated that even though they have computerized their records, the paper document is archived and they don't have long and short forms. Only the form we've seen. Now I think it's time for the birthers to show us what proof they have. Show us the proof he isn't an American citizen. Show us a foreign birth certificate. Show us any legal proof you have that could be shown to a judge in a court of law. Show us the affidavit his mother filled out renouncing his citizenship. We'll accept any legal document proving his ineligibility to serve as our president. Put your money where your mouths are. Put up or shut up. If you can't show us proof, then you had better shut your pie holes. You birthers are the ones running around screeching and disrupting townhall meetings demanding proof. You are the ones making the crazy accusations. Well if you can't prove the journalist who has verified his birth certificate is a conspirator or a liar and you can't prove that the Hawaiian officials are in on the conspiracy as well, or lying and that the document is not real, and if you don't have legal proof he isn't a citizen, then you might just have to tell us the real reason you don't want him to be president. If you are a racist or if you are afraid of having a non-white president you should admit it. You'll sound a hell of a lot more sane than you do running around ranting like inmates at the local assylum.

Of Barry's Certification of Live Birth - and you keep repeating your wishful mantra, stevie, and I'll keep repeating the plain facts of the matter - all that has been provided to anyone outside the circle of highly prejudiced partisans of the Obama campaign have been computer graphic IMAGES of what is alleged to be a COLB issued by the state government of Hawaii in 2007, supported (if the word can by used) by a possibly criminal statement - uttered not as a sworn attestation but merely to reporters - by Dr. Fukino, a bureaucrat of the Hawaii state government.

Counselor, you couldn't get a driver's license renewal in many American states on the basis of that fluff.

And you and your fellow Obamaphiles expect to get away with nothing but that?
