The ban is the most useless of any ban this nation has ever had short of outright murder.
As a former drug user I know how users share dirty needles time and time again and that's even in areas where needles are easy to get. I used to go into drug stores all over the city to get needles, but when money is tight you use the same needles over and over, but if exchanges are available users will simply exchange old needles for new, end of argument. it never has and never will encourage more use. What encourages more use is some of the stupid prohibitions of telling would be users the truth of what really happens when you use. I was misinformed intentionally before shooting heroin the first time and believed i could shake it off like any other non-addictive drug, but kids aren't told the truth of addiction and we pretend that if we just say “drugs are bad” all kids will say “Well, OK, glad you told us THAT!”
Nothing could be further from the truth.

I thought this was about “the Needles”, i would like to see some legislation passed for that. I am tired of being hung up when the levels are low.
