Anyone want to take precious metals investor Jason Hommel up on this offer?

I, Jason Hommel, promise that I will give $100,000 to the first person who can prove to my satisfaction that Barack Obama, acting as president of the United States, is a “natural born” citizen of the USA, which is a qualification to hold the office as indicated in the U.S. Constitution.

Hommel explains that he’s worried about Obama’s foreign influences, and feels “as an ‘ambassador of Christ’ (2 Cor 5:20), an obligation to encourage the American people, the media, and Congress to investigate this issue, and impeach Obama as quickly as possible.”

Seriously: Could anyone win this money? I doubt that even Hawaiian Department of Health officials could prove something to Hommel’s satisfaction.

The key phrase is, “prove to my satisfaction”… there is absolutely no way to do that. NONE of these people could be convinced of this! I don't care how many facts you give them, how many completely logical arguments… IT CANNOT BE DONE…

Therefore, his money is safe. Just like he knew it would be. All he wants is his 15 minutes.

President Obama could win the $100,000 if he is standing in the truth. Put up or shut up. The “otis” is on Barack H. Obama II, or Barry Soetero. If you do not know all the facts on how to comment on what someone is saying, it is better to keep digging for the whole truth to date.
There is a difference in the Constitution, if you have ever read it, distinguishing between US born and US natural born citizen for a reason. We as a nation have survived for over 233 years for a reason. Many of those reasons come from our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and other documents for a reason, not a whim, or an opinion, but for truth.

I do not know Jason Hommel, therefore I have a hard time calling him a loon, a goon, a far right winger, a right wing nut, a nut, a numbnut, or a birther. From what I can see he is a human being, who is a Christian by faith in Jesus Christ, who is expressing his God given right in America to express his right to free speech.

As far as this gentlemen trying to get 15 mins of fame or whatever, you have the right as well and must have by commenting on his blog Easy Money. People make decisions bad and good everyday. Discover the truth and move on.

If you release the original birth certificate, you get 100k. Obviuosly there is some info on there that he is hiding. What could it be? Inconclusive proof that he was born there? Probably. I think he would still win, but either he was born in Kenya or his dad isn't Obama Sr.

Dr. Taitz is not an idot. She happens to be a very very smart lady, well educated, etc…She has done her homework. She awaits the courts decisions as does everyone else.

There are many examples of issues and circumstatnces that should be caught and never should happen, but they do. To address them and correct them is legitimate. See the following examples.

He claims to be a Christian, but that could just be an affinity scam to sucker Christians into doing business with him.

It's not what you say you are, it's how you live your life. There are plenty of self-proclaimed Christians who are not Christians in any meaningful sense.

Obama is the child of an American, born on American soil. He is therefore eligible to be President. To doubt otherwise is to demonstrate total ignorance of the law and our own history.

It would be foolish to invest any effort in this without Hommel's providing a list of options for what would constitute “proving to his satisfaction.” We've seen this sort of thing before with T. Boone Pickens's $1 million challenge to disprove anything claimed by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which Sen. Kerry took up, only to have Pickens say that he wouldn't accept a rebuttal from Kerry that didn't include all of his journals from the Vietnam War.

Please cite the part of the Constitution that distinguishes between “U.S. born” and “U.S. natural born citizen.” My Constitution says in Article II, “No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.” And in the 14th Amendment, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

Natural-Born Citizen requires BOTH parents to be citizens. That's why it isn't just called citizen. If more people would take the time to actually understand the issue or maybe do some reading they wouldn't ending writing stupid things like David Weigel here.

Hommel was a Christian with two Christian websites before ever becoming a leading commentator on the subject of silver in any way. Then, he spent several years, (close to ten), becoming one of the more well respected authorities on silver, which happened to a large degree because of his belief in the Bible. And only in the last 11 months has he started selling anything but his newsletter and premium subscription service, so anyone that says he is scamming christians to buy coins, is the real moron! Anyone concerned with all that is NOT being covered in the press that has an audience to speak to, would be remiss and irresponsible NOT to speak his mind and bring his concerns to the attention of his audience. especially the things he deems important. Ands since this IS America, and he does have that right, I say get your kickers out of the twist, pull your heads out from your know what, and grow up! Show some intelligence if you have any to expose! This man was well respected for literally thousands of articles published on the internet regarding Biblical Authority AND gold and silver, before he obviously felt it was a responsibility of his to speak his mind TO HIS AUDIENCE! And because that is or is not news in and of itself, as other people that are on his subscription lists trend to either agree or disagree with him and therefore forward his emails to others where it is now publicly debated, means you gave harp on him and make yourself seem foolish and judgmental if you like. And so the internet really is serving a purpose at least in this regard, because real truth is not presented via the media nearly as much now as it was in the past, and even if it were, there is just too much of it to cover if you could watch the news 24-7. Because there ARE indeed so many things that need to be discussed and brought out in the open if we really are a free speech society and care about our future, so that in the end we can all benefit from the access to truth and light whatever that might be. And so to try to take away anyone's rights to do so especially when it's clear to anyone that has taken the time to read his work, or to criticize without having researched what the heck you are talking about is just plain making a fool out of yourself. But then, maybe that's just my opinion? Which of course I have my right to! Which naturally does not diminish your right to make a complete fool of yourself if that is your wish. Publisher: Obama Should Produce Original Birth Certificate

At StatePaper.com, we know by making this statement we will be instantly tagged as “racist,” “birther,” or other pejorative terms by those who defend the President of the United States. We often defend the President and the job he is doing and are regularly lambasted for being “too liberal” or an “Obama lover” by some of our most prolific critics.

But, here is the issue:

The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of our country. Article II of the Constitution requires the President to be a natural born citizen. Without reciting them here, there appears to be some serious questions raised about whether President Obama was born in the United States or Kenya. We have not checked sources, but there are reports that some witnessed his birth in Kenya.

The President's campaign staff and then his administration have released and placed on the internet a “Certificate of Live Birth.” We do not dispute the validity or correctness of that document as others have tried to do, suggesting the use of computers to alter seals and names. By releasing this document the President agrees that the claims about his status as a natural born citizen is an open, important, public issue.

But, this “Certificate of Live Birth” is simply not the best evidence that the President and his administration could offer to lay to rest any doubt about his status as a natural born citizen.

Barack Obama is a lawyer and a graduate of Harvard Law School. All law students study the body of law we call “Evidence.” One of the core tenets of American law is the “best evidence rule” which requires the production of original, or certified copies, of original document to prove a fact. Abstracts and summaries are not original documents.

The President has offered an abstract (Certificate) of his birth, but not an original birth certificate which would be the best evidence of his birth. We need the best evidence so that it can do what the best evidence is meant to do; dispel the doubts about a fact. We need to see the Birth Certificate. That's the one that is often handwritten and signed by the doctor.

Lawyers and legal thinkers will, obviously, argue the finer points of the “Best Evidence Rule” and its applicability to this matter. But, that misses the point. The notion of “Best Evidence” is solidly-grounded in law. This is an important public matter and it seems now that the President has started down the path of offering some evidence (Certificate of Live Birth), he should offer the “best evidence” (Original Birth Certificate) which is the source document for his birth. The document behind the document which has been released. This is what is needed now in the court of public knowledge.

The fact in question here is the constitutional qualification of the President of the United States to hold office. With a simple nod, the President could offer the American people the best evidence, the source document(s), as he learned about at Harvard, and dispel those who question his birth as a natural born citizen. His failure to provide this best evidence, when it could be so easily done, raises only more questions, which fuels an ugly public debate.

And now we've got a “Liberal” Nebraska newspaper advising Barry to cough up his birth certificate.

If he can. Anybody ready to hear our TelePrompTer-in-Chief taking the Fifth?
