Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), a former judge, is the latest congressman—and sixth Texas congressman—to co-sponsor Rep. Bill Posey’s (R-Fla.) bill requiring future presidential candidates to provide the Federal Election Commission copies of their birth certificates. Gohmert’s the first to do so since the passage of the Hawaii 50th anniversary of statehood resolution this week.

[...] Posey’s bill has been slowly gaining co-sponsors since its introduction. The latest is Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, who signed on Tuesday, bringing the total number of co-sponsors in addition to Posey to 10. (Hat-tip to David Weigel.) [...]

You know, maybe this is less about President Obama, and more about preventing John McCain from running again … after all, Obama's birth certificate says “Hawaii” while McCain's says “Panama”.

One of the Congressmen is Rep. John Campbell. Represents the 48th District in California. He is willing to sign up on this? Nothing better to talk about Mr Campbell?

I can not believe that you are actually going along with this sham movement known as “The Birther” movement Mr Campbell. Now you are wasting taxpayer dollars and time. I can not believe you represent any portion of California. We are a State of progress. A State of fair thinking. Not a State of spreading darkness and useless lies. How dare you waste your time. I will make sure to inform all Orange County residents of your ignorant waste of time and money. Maybe if you spent more time on REAL issues, and less time on racist delusions, California would have a chance at economic stability.

I will be letting the people in Orange County know about your involvement in “The Birther” movement. I will also be backing someone else in the next election. Anyone except you.

Here's a disturbing question: did something Weigel just made up while appearing on the Maddow show make it into a factually incorrect National Review editorial?

Here's a disturbing question: is 24Ahead, Prince of All Birthers, going to drive across the country wearing adult diapers to see his beloved Weigel?

obama doesn't actually *have* a birth cirtifucat.

he's a robot built by the aliens in my attic working with the raccoons in the chimney to steal my thought and turn them into peanut butter.

plutonium peanut butter.

I love how everyone else is factually incorrect, but you have no facts to back up that assertion. In fact, a site you like to cite a lot has actually said they've had the document inspected…and it is real.

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageI…

“A separate WND investigation into Obama's certification of live birth utilizing forgery experts also found the document to be authentic. The investigation also revealed methods used by some of the bloggers to determine the document was fake involved forgeries, in that a few bloggers added text and images to the certificate scan that weren't originally there.”

So the only facts that have been proved true are that Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4th, 1961 at 7:24. The only thing you've done is offered opinions…that you can't back up.

Before making any judgements people should read Pat Boone's editorial about truth and see Farah's movie “A Question of Eligibility” with an open mind.
