Of course, in politics the basis of Conservatives have always been to attempt to support the pweople's will, a fictious and deviscive notion, in which the people may fire all notions of supidity and have their represenatives back their ignorance and false statements. the problem goes so deep that politics can now document the faiure of a response to an adversary as a gain in tat the party mentality will be strong. and yet these same individuals criticized the assualt on miguel estrada because of party politics. hypocracy is what the conservatves do best and it is this that continues to undermine the party in the connection they should be most observant: to the people, not with the people, not as the people as a tool, but what is best for the people.

" “[Republicans] didn’t do to Sotomayor what Democrats did to Miguel Estrada,” said Mario H. Lopez, the president of the Hispanic Leadership Fund, referring to President George W. Bush’s Washington, D.C. Circuit Court nominee who withdrew after multiple filibusters, who was cited as a sort of martyr by Republican senators during Sotomayor’s hearing. “I don’t recall anything but a respectful and serious tone of questions from these hearings.” "

Dude's living in fantasyland. Outside conservative talk radio world, nobody's heard of Miguel Estrada and everyone saw exactly what the Republicans did to Sotomayor. I don't honestly know if the Republicans hurt themselves with Sotomayor, but if you have to resort to arguments like this to claim they didn't then that's not a good sign for you...
