Obviously fox news has been successful gaining viewers by airing ridiculous stories like these, but CNN used to be a legitimate news organization and would debunk this crap and then move on. The very act of working at fox news destroys any claim he may have of being a journalist – he'll just join the ranks of the hacks (aka “entertainers”) like rush limbaugh, hannity, oreilly, glen beck, and the rest of them. What I have been able to find out about Barack's background makes me leery of his intentions for our country today. Exactly what has the president done to put this country in danger? Did he ignore a memo titled “Bin Ladin Determined To Strike in US” one month and four days before the largest terrorist attack on U.S. soil? Did he imprison foreign citizens based on hearsay evidence that they were terrorists and deny them access to fair and speedy trials? But all that aside, Obama is a natural-born citizen of the U.S. because the state of Hawaii says he is. And they are the final word on this, thanks to the 14th amendment to the constitution. No “long form birth certificate” (which doesn't exist) is going to say any differently because it is issued by the state of Hawaii.

I understand your feeling on all those other presidents. I didn't say what has happened in the past has been great either. I'm with you on all those points. I just know that our founding fathers did not want a President to have dual citizenship or any allegiance to another country (specifically Britain) and this is definitely the case with Obama. Although I disagree about sending people to the factcheck site, I will for this reason only. There you will see in plain english that he did in fact hold dual citizenship which is considered against the Constitution to become President – he can be a Senator or any other office but the VP and President.

Any 4th grader could tell you that it means any person with one USA citizen parent, having spent enough years in the USA can become President.

Obama does not have dual citizenship. As the link you provided states, he lost his Kenyan citizenship when he turned 21. The fact that Obama's father is Kenyan and the fact that this would have given him dual citizenship until his 21st birthday was well known to both Democrats and Republicans before he even won the nomination. If it was a problem, he would never have won the nomination, let alone the election.

I have both the long form and the short form of my State of Hawaii Dept of Health Birth Certificate so I know what a real one is supposed to look like. President Obama was born four months after I was in the same year so our forms (not the data entered on the form, but the form itself) should be exactly the same. ~They are not.~ State forms are standard in the State of Hawaii (as they are in many other states in the Union) so his short form and my short form (once again, I'm talking about the form itself, not the information filled in on the form) should be ~exactly~ the same. Every other State of Hawaii Birth Certificate posted by others either born in Hawaii or had their children born there have forms (the form, not the data) that are exactly the same as mine.
