I'm not cynical, I just don't have a problem with this. It's just about people going on record. There's a lot to be said for some parts of politics-as-usual that are really about civility and process. We respect each other, we get the help we need, DC gets to run DC, and people from elsewhere assure their constituents that elsewhere won't become DC. I'm Happy!
