Lee Feinstein Will Not Forget Poland

As first reported by Laura Rozen, the White House announced that Lee Feinstein from the Brookings Institution, an early and enthusiastic Hillary Rodham Clinton supporter, has been nominated to be ambassador to Poland. Poland can be reassured that its U.S. ambassador has the trust of the secretary of state.

I would like to express my emphatic objection against Lee Feinstein candidacy for US Ambassador to Poland. He has been know for his support for so called “Holocaust Industry” which is seeking to extract $65 billion from Poland as a compensation for possessions lost by Polish citizens of Jewish origin during World War II and the post-war communist period . It is reasonable to assume that once Mr. Feinstein secures the ambassadorial post, he would undertake actions to put pressure on Polish government to accept these demands. Not only it is unfair (Poland was under Nazi occupation and did not play any role in Holocaust, furthermore many Polish citizens risked and lost their lives saving Jewish compatriots) and unlawful (properties in question are ownerless goods – they do not have legal successors), but such action against Poland sponsored but the US government is sure to irreparably damage Polish-American relations. In my opinion, US should designate a diplomat with a friendlier attitude towards Poland and more a comprehensive understanding of this country. One example of a good candidate for this post would be Mark Brzezinski (the son of former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezionski).

Unfortunately, Mr. Sagan is right in his assessment. Appointing Fienstein as Ambassador to Poland is like putting the most evil-intended wolf in the chicken coupe.

The only correct and proper nominee is Mark Brzezinski. Not only for his good intentions for Poland, unlike Mr. Feinstein, but alsohis qualifications and field of expertise.

Lee Feinstein is the least qualified person out there for this job.

Obama caved in.

Poles/Poland waiting for some kind of respect or break after wll over 200 years of war and degradation.

Would Mr. Feinstein ask Putin to return half of Poland back to the Poles from WWII. Also, ask that the Communists return all things back to Poland after 50 years 24/7 taking everything from Poland to the Soviet Union. How about the return of the Roman Empire…

Appointing Lee Feinstein as Ambassador to Poland is like putting the most evil-intentioned wolf in the chicken coup. Mr. Feinstein has neither the credentials or heart for this job – anything but!

Mark Brzezinski has the expertise and a well-intentioned heart for Poland. Brzezinski would only continue Polands heartfelt feelings for America. Feinstein could care less, and has only extortion in mind – a strong but sadly appropriate word.

Would Mr. Feinstein ask Russias Putin if the Communists would return the half of Poland Stalin took after WWII; where most Jews lived towards Russia. Also, would Mr. Feinstein ask the Communists to return all the pilfering from Poland by the Communists that was going on 24/7 for 50 years.

While you are at it Mr. Feinstein should not The Roman Empire seek the return… You seee how ridiculous this is.

Over 200 years of Poland/Poles being killed, beaten and robbed… When doe this country, who has never hesitated to step up for America catch a break?!

It is a shame, there were many Polish Americans protesting against this appointment, but to no avail.
This will only contribute to the growth of anti-americanism in the world, which is a shame, as Polish people traditionally loved and admired USA.
But does the current US government care about its own country? I doubt.
It is sad to see less and less respect for the USA…
The Polish government will not protest, but to most Polish people it is a slap in the face. Our resentment is growing as the insults given to us, such as blaming Poles for the Holocaust ( “Polish concentration camps”, antipolonism in the “mainstream media”) are getting unbearable.
