I think it is long past time for Old Zell to have a big fat pink-headed gorilla appendage spurting some glue across his loudmouthed lips to seal them shut. He is a tool. He knew exactly what he was saying when he referenced this popular brand name. Just because he's old doesn't mean he's lost his good old boy Southern ability to spew venom and spitballs. Screw him. And his uppity and nasty little wife Shirley too. I have grown up in the South and have lived in ATL where this pig presided. Time for him to take a long long nap.These people are disgusting examples of humanity and it is high time that they get called out for their hate and lies. Quiet no more.

Yeah. im a NYC hard core progressive. I also think of Gorilla Glue as a heavy duty glue. Elmer's is crap, and superglue comes in too small a tube. If you wanted to glue someone to a chair, you'd use gorilla glue. miller is still a putz though.

When I think of glue, I think of Elmer's. When I think of other sticky things, I think of Duct Tape. If I were going to make a bizarre, angry comment about a President going abroad (as part of his job), I'd use Elmer's or Duct Tape. The specificity of Gorilla Glue was racially charged.

Zell Miller isn't in office anymore, so nobody really cares what he thinks, but worth noting he thinks it's okay to pander to racists.

He used the term deliberately because Obama is black. That's absolute. The reason he chose those words is because it IS a popular brand of glue. That provides the perfect cover, and ammunition for fake outrage – as we're seeing here. If people don't think these a-holes don't carefully create these messages with the intent of strategy, you're living in a fantasy world. A fantasy world with rose-colored glasses.

Miller meant exactly what he said, and the reaction. Make no mistake.

Coastal liberal elite here. Having used Gorilla Glue to secure a leather button to its metal fastener on my ottoman (from Pottery Barn!), I read it without catching a whiff of racial animosity. It's one of the few widely available adhesives for gluing wood, leather, & plastic to metal. That being said, Zell is still a tool.

Before jumping on the “monkey joke” bandwagon, Gorilla Glue IS one of the most widespread adhesives around. You can't go to Home Depot without them trying to pawn some off on you in every aisle.
