Gimme a Bullet

Democratic Virginia blogger Ben Tribbett has video of Catherine Crabill, a Republican candidate for delegate — whom we last saw accusing the government of “domestic terrorism” and links to the 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing — telling conservative supporters that they might have to “resort to the bullet box” if they don’t fight government tyranny at the polls. When a Kenyan sneaks his way into our White House with the aid of his ACORN thugs and Ayers terrorists, what should we do? How much tyranny must we stand?

I know Helen, that is a scary hypothetical. Lucky for us a native-born American was fairly and freely elected by a 53% majority of the electorate in 2008…

Just FYI. This woman is a fringe candidate with absolutely no chance of winning in Nov. Her prior remarks labeling our federal government “terrorists” and culpable in the OK City bombing have clenched that.

If we were to not donate a dime to Albert Pollard from now till then, he'd still win. Relax liberals, our side has created a void for you to fill this time around. We might as well have laid out a red carpet hah!

So Jacoby…fear not. There's LESS than a snowball's chance in hell for Crabill to win. I predict a 2% support at the ballot box.

Pollard said, “While some might be saddened for the future of robust political debate in this district”. Why doesn’t he challenge Mrs. Crabill to a debate rather than have his aide send out the following rhetoric.

Subject: Clip from yesterday

Friends -
I just want to share with you a little clip from last night's Tea Party rally in Heathsville, Northumberland County, Virginia – part of the district that my boss, Albert Pollard, represents in Virginia's state legislature. The person speaking is his opponent, Catherine Crabill. It's short, only a minute and a half.

I originally crafted this email with specific examples on how this group has played fast and loose with the facts, i.e. lie, but I am much more disturbed by Mrs. Crabill's action in the second part of the clip as she is actually committing a felony by threatening to go to the 'bullet box' if she doesn't like the results at the 'election box'. See Virginia Code 18.2-484<http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+18.2-484

I'm seriously considering a fundraiser to raise money for flak jackets for Albert and his family…do they make flak jackets for 3 year olds???

I am all for good, healthy, civil and most importantly respectful debate when it comes to the policies of our governments at all levels. We are all proned to our emotional outbursts, but in the end we respect one another's right to our own opinion, and we abide by the laws of our government institutions, be it federal, state or local.
That's the responsibility we carry as citizens of a democracy.

The actions of Mrs. Crabill and the folks that are following her lead are neither civil, respectful, nor, quite frankly, healthy.

Advocating violence to resolve differences of opinion is, simply, the tactics of gangs and bullies.

For those of you who have known me throughout my work with Delegate Pollard since 2000, you know I've given my opinion on his opponents in the past to you one on one. I've never sent out an email solicit to you for support. This year is different because this year's opponent is clearly willing to use any means necessary to promote herself and her cause.

If you are a registered voter in the 99th district, I'm asking that you vote for Albert this fall. If you have friends/family that are registered voters in the 99th, please ask them to vote for Albert this fall.

Regardless, I'm asking everyone to support Albert by contributing to his campaign, even if it is just $5. As his campaign treasurer, I would rather receive $5 from 100 supporters than $500 from one supporter because that gives me hope there are more people out there who are willing to make democracy work, than those who advocate for it's violent overthrow.

Thanks for listening,
carmen

This does not surprise me at all. And when it's over, will Talk Radio, Fox News, and other Right Wing Propaganda outlets finally be fingered as accessories to the crime ( the hijacking and final destruction of the Republican Party).

Of course, I must take the comment above with a grain of salt considering the Leftist “propaganda” outlets have been running full steam for the past few years as well. I don't think that Fox News, talk radio, or even CNN, CBS, NBC, or ABC have the market cornered on either extremist or bleeding heart viewpoints. What's good for the goose is good for the gander so to speak.

The hijacking and destruction of the Republicans AND Democrats can only be blamed on their own internal struggles. Neither party is the party it was 40 years ago. I could easily be happy with being a Democrat of the 1950s–a Communist of today, not so much.

I don't think that Mrs. Crabill speaks for me, nor does she speak for the entire local, state, or national GOP. Considering she has less than 50% of the support of local Republicans, in my personal estimate, she doesn't stand a chance of winning in November. So far as I can tell, her only qualification resides in her willingness to run off at the mouth at any public gathering. This is certainly a useful ability when and if you have chosen your words wisely, and you truly have something of substance to say. Unfortunately this has not been her typical modus operandi.

It is merely a shame for both sides, that there can't be a more respectable campaign with two stellar candidates debating the actual issues instead of just laying blame and attacks on one another.

Dear Charles Lawson. There is no comparison between Fox and Main Stream Media. Fox exhibits outright distain for Liberals every 60 seconds and every topic is presented in a way that can only disparage Liberals and their policies. They even called me UNPATRIOTIC for not supporting Bush's invaision of Iraq! That's Facism! Main Stream Media does not do any of this to Conservatives. I guess they are Liberal since they are to smart even think it.

Regardless of your opinion on whether Fox News is a legitimate news outlet, would you have it any other way? Would you silence them purely because they are exercising their right to free speech, but not YOUR version of speech?

Also…just because I have a hard time debating things with people who can't spell….please take this better than most liberals who don't have a sense of humor.
