Who said this was fiction? You say it is fiction, but it is not.

President Bush told you, from day one, that the United States of America would hunt down the terrorists and kill them, no matter where they were.

And, after doing just exactly what he said, is he in Federal Prison?

No. And Obama is running the show.

Now...put 2 and 2 together.

Bush said we were going to hunt the terrorists down and kill them. Everyone clapped. Then, he left office. Now, President Obama is in charge. And Bush ain't in prison.

Which nation of laws do you really think you're living in? The one you read about in fairy tales or the one where we actually have to figure out how to defend this country without politicizing the intelligence and operations necessary to do so?

By the way, where's Habeas Corpus? Because, President Obama sure hasn't restored it, unless you think you can't be extraordinarily renditioned somewhere.

#1. We either ARE or ARE NOT a nation of laws!
#2. This would constitute a federal crime if carried out!
#3. Not advising congress about such a plan would ALSO be a separate federal crime.
#4. If no one likes the heat and chatter we are now witnessing, then they should MAN UP and not complain about the consequences of BREAKING THE LAW.

Quit acting like a baby.

Do you really think that this is something that the general public could or should digest? Do you really think that the people who knew about this--the very, very select few--were doing anything other than going after the top members of al Qaeda?

I can and do believe that a lot of evil shit went down on the watch of Bush-Cheney, but let's grow up and realize one thing--there was definitely going to be a program whereby al Qaeda in friendly countries was going to be taken out by the knife, not the court order and bleating of sirens from concerned gendarmes and the like.

Who is actually immature enough to think that this wasn't a damned fine idea? I expect and demand that my government will do whatever it takes to take out an enemy such as al Qaeda, even if it means going through a wall in a Paris apartment and sticking a knife in the ear of an al Qaeda operative if there's intel to back it up.

I don't need to know about it, and I don't want to know about it. That doesn't mean our government doesn't need to do it. History has already damned these people for what they did and didn't do, and if they didn't do this, they knew they would suffer further abuse.

So, let's grow up, please. Not everyone is eager to commit a felony and leak to the great Spencer Ackerman.
