This episode is covered in Jane Mayer's book, The Dark Side. It's a good primer for what happened during the Bu$h Administration. There's much more about Cheney, the VP being a power center and assassination squads.

Gonzales, Card, Cheney, Hayden are all outright liars and criminals! Gonzales committed perjury but the report gives him an out because information was classified. What a joke! If he not wanted to lie and mislead like the hospital episode, he got away with it when an ethical AG would have requested closed session or put in the record he could not disclose anything. After reading this I would give Bush a pass because I believe him when he told Comey he did not know everything Cheney and the underlings were doing. Thank God we have an ethical FBI Director and others not so easily willing to break the law!! Its the duty of every American to read this entire report!!
