Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) gets — surprise! — paranoid and angry about all the criticism she’s getting for leaving her job.
The double standard that’s applied here is a bit perplexing. … Didn’t Lisa Murkowski leave office to go take her dad’s seat? (Govs.) Huntsman left, Napolitano just left …
She’s referring to three people who left the jobs they were elected to to take other, more demanding jobs. Murkowski left the Alaska House of Representatives to become a senator. Former Gov. Jon Huntsman (R-Utah) left to become his country’s ambassador to China. Former Gov. Janet Napolitano (D-Ariz.) left to become Secretary of Homeland Security. Palin, by contrast, is quitting while not saying what she’ll do next. Reporter Sean Cockerham pointed this out to her.
