Sarah Palin’s Book to Come in Special Christian Edition
Monday, July 06, 2009 at 12:32 pm
A double-take-inducing item from Time’s report on Palin’s book:
In addition to the trade edition, there will also be a special version for the Christian market, under HarperCollins’ Zondervan imprint.
Mike Allen had this in May, but it has new resonance now that Palin’s book will be released when she is a private citizen.

Oh, GOD spare us. What have we done to thee for thee to smite us with this evilness?

Seems to me she oughtn't bother with the non-”Christian” edition. I think it can be fairly well assumed that the fundamentalist mindset is requisite to “understanding” her when she speaks.
Of course, if it's ghostwritten, then this is a moot point.

Oh goody, she won't have to dogwhistle her pandering to the Xist base.
“Just remember, fellow fundies, Jesus said in the Gospel According to St. Mammon that it's easier for a rich dude to enter the kingdom of Heaven than absolutely ANYTHING! So let's keep those cap-gain taxes low, okay?
“My spiritual counselor from Exxon says that the Beast of the Apocalypse is actually a polar bear! So let's keep meltin' that darned ice and show those satanic critters what's what!”
“'Quid pro quo' sounds like Latin and all fancy-schmancy and stuff but it means that if a God-loving Christian company wants to build unto me a house for I have given it unto them to build a building unto the City which is Mine, yea, it is good. And I'll sue the beJesus outa the New York Times and every other liberal media enemy of godly America that says different.”

Yeah. Pix with donkeys and camels, dontchaknow.
Oh, wait. This isn't for the moderate “mainline” Xian market. It'll all be “hip”, and “relevant”, with super-expensive professional-grade video, all kinds of corporate logo ripoffs, etc. Very spiritual, I'm sure.
