Immigration Debate Kicks Off

Just as many advocates were hoping, the debate over immigration has begun. Where and when it will end is anybody’s guess.
Right after yesterday’s meeting at the White House, after being personally thanked by President Obama for his role in getting discussion started, Sen. John McCain (D-Ariz.) told reporters that a guest worker program has to be be part of any immigration bill. He then took a dig at labor unions, which generally oppose guest worker programs: “I would expect the president of the United States to put his influence on the unions in order to change their position,” McCain said.
President Obama himself made no promises at that meeting, noting only that he agreed there are differences of opinion but he’ll try to work through them.
White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, meanwhile, told reporters earlier in the day that there isn’t enough support for an immigration bill this year.
“If the votes were there, you wouldn’t need to have the meeting,” he said.

At every turn, there is a push from the pro illegal immigrant advocates to pass comprehensive immigration reform….. When will the voices of American citizens count for anything in this country? American workers have been downsized, outsourced and forclosed in the millions. Why isn't there an advocate in favor of the American worker? Every illegal immigrant in this country that currently holds a job is hurting the American worker currently looking for work.
Every classroom overcrowded by the children of illegal immigrants, is eroding our American children's education. Every hospital, jail and social agency that provides free services to illegal immigrants is taking away from the rights of American citizens. This must stop before there is nothing left for our future generations.

whatever,
most illegal immigrants are taking jobs that they can not do legally – work in a restaurant, washing dishes, making pizzas, delivering pizzas, cleaning cars, making sandwiches, maintenance, etc.
If any American wants such a job, there are plenty still available.
If you are worried about the illegal immigrants not paying taxes, not paying for healthcare, and for taking other services for free… then legalize them and tax the shit out of them. Make them pay a good fine (say $3,000.00) per each illegal person (which by the way should bring in a good $35 billion to economy), make them pay all other legalization/immigration application fees (which are about $5,000.00 and would bring another $60 billion), and then they are obliged to pay taxes (which should bring more money to the economy).
So stop complaining… what about us americans, what about us poor people, what about our kids, immigrants are taking over… etc, etc; and start doing something about it, and think with your head not your bollocks. It would cost you more to remove people then to keep them in US – and if they were to go, US economy is going down with them.
