Republicans are truly a disgrace. The fact that each and every single item in the senate now requires 60 votes (i.e., "cloture") is not only unprecedented in US history, but shows that they stand for nothing. The current Republican party, symbolized by liars and hypocrites like Ensign (R-NV), Sanford (R-SC), Gingrich and Limbaugh, stands for nothing except obstruction and fear-mongering.

They tried to filibuster Harold Koh, the dean of the world's best and most prestigious law school, and are now after cloture was invoked, calling for 30 hours of "debate"? Seriously? And what about Dawn Johnsen to head the OLC, filibustering her as well.

It's no wonder that the GOP is more hated by the American people than at any time in history, they are the party of the middle ages and we're living in the 21st century. Soon the green party will be a more viable party than the whigs, I mean the GOP.

Can't have any debate, eh Harry? Afraid it might reveal problems with him? Seems like the Dems are in a hurry in everything they do these days. Could it be because they're afraid the people will see the flaws in what they're doing and raise objections? Act in haste, repent at liesure has a lot of truth in it. From TARP to the firing of the IG BHO didn't like, we've see many examples of it recently. The Dems are forceing the Repubs to be the party of "no" with their unseemly haste, which hints at questionable motives. Only in the areas of defense and security do we see the opposite; indescision, timidity, and hesitation, when decisive words and deeds might make a difference.
