Totally agree overhaul of ins has to be done .if you are making over 250,000 a year and are taxed in the same bracket as someone making 25,000 its simply unfair. i work 50+ hours a week and pay well over $180 in insurance a paycheck only bringing in 35,000 a year. yes i have more than one tv yes i have a computer, i drive a 1991 acura that cost me $1,500 I am 28 yrs old have hypothyroidism and psoriasis both require constant medical attention just one of my creams costs over $500 thats with ins and i have a decent ins.(united healthcare) its uncouth that after paying over $180 i must also pay ridiculous amounts for my prescriptions. also when i visit a doctor the bill is "payed" weeks later i receive a bill for amounts the ins provider decided they dont feel like paying? Many people at my job have been fired for supposed cost effective reasons but in reality its just because the owner of the company wants to continue buying jet skis and taking bucks cheerleaders out on dates. these people care nothing of the employees.so you tell me why is it fair for employers to cut employees to remain hyper rich while someone making 20,000 who actually works hard has to remain in poverty to support the employers greed? Health care is a right to everyone in this country and to deny someone care because employer wants to buy a boat is WRONG! ins companies also have plenty of blame here dropping people for using the care they PAY for and excluding others for pre existing conditions. the government is not trying to take over healthcare they are trying to reform it so the average American can afford it and not just the corp fat cats who do no work .also i would like to point out i have served in the military both in iraq and afganistan i acctually was wounded in combat in Afghanistan and received quality health care from the Va. no one wants to make the rich poor but at the same time the rich should not be allowed to splurge while others are dying.

Personally, I am not against reform. I am very much against the reform that the "Left" is currently putting out there. They do not want reform, they want control. Just like they want with every other slice of government.

We need to control the costs that are charged by doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies. Reduce those costs and insurance is once again affordable for everyone.

Stop allowing people to sue a doctor for 20mil for doing their best to save their loved one and failing. Are you perfect in your job? Accidents happen. I will agree that being a doctor the number of accidents must be held to a near 0 but nobody is perfect. Perfection is impossible. Reduce the awards with lawsuits and doctors fees go down.

My other problem with providing insurance to everyone is simple, I have a me attitude. I have no problem admitting it. However, I have this attitude because I work very hard for what I have and hence do not want to give it away to those who simply think they work hard. I work 10 - 14 hour days 5 to 6 days a week. I do not want to pay for someone who works 20 hours a week cause they want their "free time" to have insurance. Of those who say they cant afford it I ask this: What kind of car do you drive? Do you have cable? Do you smoke? Do you drink? Do you have more than 1 television? Do you have more than 1 car? Do you have a cell phone? A computer? Dont tell me you cant afford something simply because you want to afford other "Luxury" items. I pay 119.00 per pay check, or 3094 a year for my insurance. Why should I have to pay 7000+ in taxes for everyone else to have insurance?

You may like Canada's health care or England's or Germany's but do you know their tax rate? High 40 to low 50% range. No thanks.

I will get off my soap box for now but this is why I am against the lefts version of reform. Reform my a$$, its a takeover!

Wow....the "short bus". That was quick man. Did your mommy help you to create that catchy (and very old) response? I love how the Dems are always so willing to just tax and spend and not care where the money comes from as long as the rich get nailed. Medicaid is a failure. Social Security is a failure due to Democrat spending and emptying out the coffers. Medicaid pays scraps to doctors who work their a$$es off. MEDICAID and government involvement does not work in the health care industry.

Because Republicans continually block and cut funding while making increasing demands on these systems. Any other simple questions you need answered or do you have to leave to catch the short bus?
