“The Arab, Israeli, Palestinian analogies and rumors are common. On the Saturday after the election, I was in Vanak Sqaure when riot police showed up on motor bikes. When they were spotted the person behind me told us to run by yelling ‘the Israelis have come.’ On Saturday and Sunday several people commented that ‘they have turned the city in Palestine.’ The they referred to the Iranian authorities.”

Oh snap! When the opposition tells the regime that it’s as bad as the Israelis, something is definitely happening. I await the neoconservative hand-wringing about Anti-Semitism and the Iranian opposition.
