Mr. Weigel, may I remind you that you write for a newspaper called “Independent?” Why is it that you cannot simply report the facts? Its obvious that you support the President, but are you willing to jump off The Washington Monument for him? You know what, maybe you should invite these guys to go hang out at your ballot box next time… I bet we'll hear a different tune out of your ivory tower!

This is a much more serious matter than you make it out to be. The ballot box is sacred. This is a great chance for democratc and republicans to agree on something: standing in front of a voting booth with a weapon and in a uniform of a nasty racist group is wrong, no matter the race of the thug. Klansman and Black Panther alike have no business wearing their uniforms showing off a weapon at a poll.

This is really a red-herring side-issue from what matters most of all. Howard Dean is culpable for allowing the non-citizen Obama on the ballot. Senator McCain is either complicit or derelict in his duties for not pursuing Obama's credentials as a citizen. McCain whose own natural-born status was questioned by a congressional hearing. And I also wonder why Arnie the Govenator isn't speaking out about this important issue. Hellary is not guiltless either as I am sure she has some guilty knowledge.

I think you guys need to quit worrying about who appointed who and do the job that you were given to do. Not in your interest but in the interest of ANY and ALL American citizens. Our tax dollars are going to pay the salaries of alot of people who are out for themselves.
