Birther Poll Finds Whopping Eight Percent of Americans ‘Troubled’ by Obama Rumors

WorldNetDaily reports on the results of a Wenzel Strategies poll, paid for by the fringe news Website, that asked 790 adults about the conspiracy theories surrounding President Obama’s citizenship. (Conspiracy theory debunked here.) Alex Koppelman goes through the methodology that allowed the site to claim that Birtherism was now a majority position.

The result trumpeted by WND is that 41.5 percent of respondents said “Obama should release all records, including long-form birth certificate,” essentially the “yes” answer WND was looking for. An additional 7.8 percent said they “are troubled by these questions,” which the site has been lumping in with the yes answer. The “no” answer, though, they split up into five different responses — “I am not concerned,” ”questions not valid,” “Obama has met requirements,” “Obama has answered all questions” and “requirements outdated — should be ignored.”

I asked Fritz Wenzel about this, whether it made sense to combine “I am troubled” and “Obama should release all his records,” as one intimates real worry about Obama’s citizenship while one just asks for transparency. “They are different questions,” he said, “but I think it’s reasonable to group them together. If people are troubled by a situation, they want more data.”

Weigel's obsession continues! Meanwhile, in less than the time it took him to write this post, he could have called Hawaii, asked them the questions that would put this to rest, and written up their response.

Weigel and other hacks have continually refused to do something as simple as picking up the phone and asking some questions. Or, maybe Weigel has and he just doesn't want to reveal that what HI said shows he's been misleading people about this issue.

2 questions for non-birthers:

1) What hospital was Obama born in?

2) What's the name of the doctor that delivered Obama?

The Honolulu General Hospital, Dr. Chu Wang.

If Barry Soetoro (AKA Barack Hussein Obama) has nothing to hide, why is he hiding it?

You have no idea what you're talking about. Put the KoolAid down and look into the topic before inserting your foot back into you mouth.

Yet another sockpuppet who's completely unable to provide any sort of counter-argument.

And, I have indeed looked into this, even calling HI and getting stonewalled. Notably, they refused to confirm the assumptions of Weigel, FactCheck, and all the other hacks that have misled about this issue.

See my completely fact-based summary for the details. Unlike Weigel et al, I only deal in facts.

Obama went to Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children in Honolulu and told them he was born THERE.

Oh yes my mistake on that one.

It still doesn't change the fact that he was born in Hawaii.

No matter how many (Imagined) discrepancies on Obama's birth unless the doubter have EVIDENCE that Obama was born anywhere else outside America then Obama is a US natural born citizen.

How does one best lure all of the moles from the woodwork? Say, as in all major wars, a preemptive shutting-down of known enemy espionage operations, infiltrations, etc.?
Well, You just hoist an Obama up the flagpole & see who salutes!
That having been done, it's time to pull the rug out from under The Big O.

I lived in Hawaii & remember when there was debate about the new proposed legislation to allow there to be “Certificates of Live Birth.” Some said then that such might in the future allow some foreign agent to become, one day, the President, and were against it. Others said that Hawaii was Asian (They HATE “Haoles.”) and so why not allow asians to say they were American, and could get jobs, etc. There IS a lot of out-of-state immigration for the poorer jobs.
Everything out there is about this “Certificate of Live Birth,” which IS NOT a Birth Certificate.
My question is about that secret meeting with SCOTUS that The Big O and Biden had before the inaugural.
Does it matter that The Great Economic Manchurian Candidate even knows he's been counter-run? No. Just so that he did what was wanted of him, now watch “Kapoof!” into thin air, & we'll have special elections. What with the lies the CIA has kept from Pelosi about Gary Condit and Dick Cheney from 9/11, we'll be putting in a lot of new Congressdudes, too.

Yeah how dare they let the complete lack of supporting evidence and complete lack of sanity of those repeating these lies get in the way of reporting it?

Hell I don't know what hospital I was born in or the doctor who delivered me. I daresay MOST Americans couldn't answer that question.

OK Mr David Weigel, I fully understand that u may have a certain political leaning. For that matter we all do. And you seem like an intelligent individual. So it is extremely hard for me to believe that you can't see how these are to unrelated answers. I on one hand believe wholeheartedly that Obama is a natural born citizen. On the otherhand, I may feel that he should release them as a simple political strategy. You're reaching when u lump them together. That hurts your credibility.

Then eight percent of Americans are incredibly stupid. So what else is new. This is exactly why republicans are getting their butts kicked on election day. Their whole political strategy is conspiracy theories and name calling. I worked for an election or two: no more.

Eight percent of americans being incredibly stupid is hardly a major revelation. How many people bought “shamwows” or some other late night hocked piece of crap because of an infomercial?

Well, we know for sure that 21% of the Pubie fringe is crazy…accounts for 8% we can now say are certifiable and the other 13% are questionably “crazy”. This is like the idiots in Houston, Texas, who built an “anti-Clinton” museum to disclaim the Presidency of Bill Clinton. They cut off their noses to spite their faces…LOL>

You are not being stonewalled…what did you do? Ask for a copy??? You won't get one, heck I can't even get a copy of my own deceased Mother's, because the State of Maryland, says it is a LAW in their state that no one can due to privacy and the occasion for someone other than a family member to get a copy and cop a new identity. Get real, why would the State of Vitals of Hawaii or any other state for that matter, give you the time of day, except for a copy of your own birth record. You are a total “conspiracy theorist” without a theory.

Oooooh Ricky, please expand on that “secret meeting” between the President O/Vice President B elect had before they were both sworn in…must have been about something unimportant like the economic mess Bush left them or national security that was compromised by Cheney. I want to know about the “secret meetings” that Ken Lay, Arnold Schwartzenhager, and Cheney had right before the “rolling blackouts in California” in 2001….prelude to recall of Gray Davis….oooh, so many conspiracies, so little time.

The other 92% are rational and understand that Obama is president and met ALL the constitutional requirements before taking the oath of office. “Birthers” are a logical outcome of their mothers being pro-choice. It was their mothers' choices that require us to be stuck with the results.

curious – the margin that believes this is greater than the margin he won by. Once this dies down they will invent other issues: socialism, mandated health care, war without end.
