WorldNetDaily vs. Shep Smith

The premiere Birther site has a little fun with Shepard Smith’s on-air criticism of the conspiracy theory email he gets at Fox News, and conducts a poll: “What do you think of Shepard Smith calling eligibility skeptics ‘crazies’? ”

Somebody from Fox News calling right-wingers “crazies”? Priceless!

He’s right – what’s the problem?

Shep nailed it – I have new respect for Fox News

His comments were just window dressing for Fox’s right-wing agenda

Controversy sells – it was a smart marketing move on his part

He’s just one voice on Fox

It looks like Fox has one house liberal

Whatever happened to “fair and balanced”?

It looks like he’s brushing up on his resume for MSNBC

Shepard Smith is a loose cannon

His good poise and great facial structure overshadow his analytical abilities

He doesn’t even demonstrate journalistic curiosity about legitimate questions over Obama’s eligibility

Other

Come for the poll, stay for the unsubtle gay-bashing in the comments.

I'll bet he gets blacklisted from every Fox Christmas party from now on. It's a strange conundrum: he's been with Fox for almost 14 years; he knows what people say about Fox and that much of it is true; he got a lucrative contract (two years to go); and, just like Anderson Cooper, he's gay, but not officially “out.” Has he written anything? I don't think so. Does he know where the bodies are buried? Maybe. Altogether, as the King of Siam would put it “'Tis a puzzlement.”

Dear Mr. Smith

Regarding your statement about us so-called “crazies” I don't mind telling you that I've always liked you personally and respected your skillful presentation of the news but I am terribly disappointed with you right now because you and FoxNews are the network that is near and dear to my heart and to those of millions of other conservative Americans. FoxNews for us is like “the last man standing” the only network left that presents fair and balanced news coverage. That you simply dismissed the 400,000 Americans who have registered their dissatisfaction with Barak Obama's eligibility to be President of the United States (POTUS), not to mention that are are almost certainly millions of other American who have not officially registered their concerns, really hurt.

From my perspective it was certainly not fair and balanced. To dismiss all these Americans as “crazies” does a great disservice to them and to our country. I would understand if such s statement came from the lips of some far left liberal but not from you. I can only surmise that you have not done your homework; that you have not studied all that has come to light since Obama was elected. You are obviously an intelligent young man and had you done that, I do not believe you would have made such a statement.

I can assure you that I am not crazy Mr. Smith. On the contrary, I like to think I'm an intelligent and well read person who has his finger on the pulse of both national and international politics. I'm a responsible father of 6 and grandfather to 13. I'm also a Vietnam veteran. But first and foremost, I'm a patriotic American who honestly believes, based upon real evidence and a huge quantity of circumstantial evidence, not to mention hidden evidence and obvious deceptions, that Barak Obama is a usurper to the office of POTUS. Moreover, I believe that you too will come to the same conclusion if you simply open your mind and do some serious research. I'd be glad to help you with access to sources if you so request it but I doubt that need my help.

Respectfully yours
Jerry Holman

The quantity of adherents to a given issue is not a gauge of its validity. In addition, circumstantial evidence will only confirm the opinions of those who already agree with the argument; I am unfamiliar with the meaning of hidden evidence. This is the difference between 'truthiness' and 'truth'.
The constitution states these qualifications for POTUS:
1) Natural born citizen.
2) Attained to the Age of thirty five Years.
3) Fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
The birth certificate has been answered by valid evidence acceptable to a court of law.
Are there additional charges that relate to the above three enumerated qualifications?

Obama's clearly a Martian, which is surely a disqualification for POTUS. There's also an abundance of “circumstantial evidence” that Obama is in fact a gay America-hating marxist muslim nazi communist and isn't really “black” at all.

We're through the looking glass people….

Mister Holman, would you care to enlighten us regarding “real evidence and a huge quantity of circumstantial evidence, not to mention hidden evidence and obvious deceptions, that Barak Obama is a usurper to the office of POTUS” by showing us at least JUST ONE of those “evidences”?

OTOH Obama's BC has been verified whether you like to believe it or not.

Associated Press Nov 1, 2008:
“The Associated Press quoted Chiyome Fukino as saying that both she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama's original birth certificate.

Fukino also was quoted by several other news organizations. The Honolulu Advertiser quoted Fukino as saying the agency had been bombarded by requests, and that the registrar of statistics had even been called in at home in the middle of the night.

[...]

Fukino said she has “personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.”

Would you “open your mind” to that?

This is not a matter of opinion. Either he's eligible or he's not. The “fact” is the Certification of Live Birth does not prove his eligibility. He MUST prove his eligibility. If I were him I would WANT to prove my eligibility and stop this stupid argument. By not going ahead and proving factual proof, he's appearing to be hiding something. By spending all this effort and obviously a lot of money so as not to prove it, he's OBVIOUSLY hiding something. Is Shepard Smith too stupid to not understand this? Are those defending him and also joining him in his RIGHT WING slanders too stupid, as well. Or are they just too blinded by their communist/socialist brainwashing to be able to reason and to be honest aout the whole thing? I think the latter.

I'm quite certain that no court has actually heard the case.
they have simply dismissed it. So your arguments that a court has seen the Birth Certificate doesn't hold water. The “fact” that some Hawaiian bureaucrat says she's seen the BC doesn't prove anything either. I've not seen anything that she said the BC was valid AND stated he was born in Hawaii AND what hospital AND what doctor. In a court of law, these statements are all here say, and not admissible as evidence. Finally, why is the BC not available? What is he hiding? Aren't you even curious? No, because you are blinded by your socialist religion.

well when ever the media doesnt have a reasonable explanation they bring out the racist word or crazy or extremist word whatever they feel like using that day to attack the person instead of refuting the charge.
