Questioning Obama's citizenship indicates a concern that is shared by many Americans and is unrelated. It should be removed.

How sad that a country where education is free, and libraries are everywhere, and that has such a diverse human population, should create twisted minds like James Von Brunn. How sad that a security guard was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Had he been white, he would have been killed too, since the rampaging angry person Von Brunn would have assumed he was Jewish.

This hatred is spawned from ignorance, insularity, and problems not addressed in his childhood. Hitler was such a man, full of hatred. He had been terribly abused as a child. It was too late to stop him as an adult when he took it out on so many innocents. All the major dictators in the world: Stalin, Caucescu, etc, were abused children, who found some racial group to focus their anger on, and who had enough power to do it. Those without the power to inflict damage on a national scale, do so with a single gun. This cycle will continue, till we fix the way we raise children world-wide. It starts right there. Once they are adults, its too late. How many jails will we fill? How many hours of court time for legal maneuvering? How many lawyers, police, and victims will it take? A good daycare system, a caring family structure, exposure to the world beyond your tiny town, and an education prevent monsters like Von Brunn to be created.

We put people on the moon, we build skyscrapers, we find tiny germs and hidden mysteries, but we cannot consistently provide a child with kindness, fairness and the basic needs. It is society that is to blame in the end. We get the kind of adults that we neglect as kids. Some people can never be helped and are born twisted. But this is rare. The others we create through neglect, or turning to look the other way. Take care of the kids, and the world will be a much happier place.
