This had nothing to do with torture. The whole argument is about prolonged detention which does produce the result of keeping the terrorists from attacking us again.

Which of these arguments are a legal defense to committing a crime?

Which one of these arguments is a reason to inflict unnecessary pain on another human being, especially when "everyone knows it" does not produce results?

As my mommy said just because everybody does it it does not make it right.

Most of us learned that as kids...
