Pawlenty: GOP Is Like ‘Eminem Getting Dumped On’ by Bruno
Monday, June 08, 2009 at 2:07 pm
From The Minnesota Independent:
Speaking to the College Republicans’ national convention over the weekend, Pawlenty commented on NBC’s “Inside the Obama White House” special: “I haven’t seen something that staged since that half-naked Austrian fell onto the face of Eminem at the MTV music awards.”
He continued: “Eminem was mad. And so, just like Eminem getting dumped on, we’ve got to kind of regroup. We’ve got to continue to fight. And we’ve got some things worth fighting for.”
In case you missed it, this is what Pawlenty was referring to.

this is true in a way that pawlenty didn't intend: cartoonish feigned gay-panic is one of the GOP's most time-honored strategies.

And all this time I thought Republicans were trying to distance themselves from the whole teabagging imagery.
