Larry Craig Returns

Justin Hart tweets from the off-the-record weekly meeting of conservatives hosted by Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform.
Holy Crap! Larry Craig is here at the Norquist Wednesday meeting. Everyone is just a little bit nervous around him.
Especially now! The Wednesday meeting typically includes representatives from the minority leaders’ offices in the House and Senate.

Good grief. He doesn't have a contagious disease. He's been a great leader to Idaho. While he's made some unwise personal decisions, we all have benefitted from his work on our behalf.

I disagree with Idahoan. I live in Idaho, am writing this in Boise, and I do not consider the former Senator to have been a “great leader to Idaho” in any way what so ever. I thought the “great leader” lived in North Korea?
Unwise decisions? Yes, there were many. But, as with most politicians and telling the truth, it was not the faux family, the home he never lived in, or the widely known fact that he was a closet gay that brought him down, it was the denials and attempts to take back his guilty plea when he finally got caught in his duplicity.
That he hangs around in D.C. does not surprise me. There are very few places in Idaho where people are comfortable around him as well.
