The Iowa Independent reports:
Steve Deace, who hosts a drive-time show on WHO-AM, said society helped create Scott Roeder, the man in custody for the killing of Tiller Sunday morning, by refusing to stop abortion by legal methods.
“Maybe the fact that we have a lawless society that has not protected these babies from infanticide created the Scott Roeders of the world, who in very John Brown-like fashion, illegally took matters into his own hands,” Deace said. “Saying that if the system will not deal with an evil, then to Hell with the system.”
A radical abolitionist, Brown led a gang that brutally killed several pro-slavery figures in Kansas and later led a violent attack upon the United States Arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Va. He was eventually arrested, charged with treason, and executed. [...]
Deace danced the line throughout his program between celebrating the fact that Tiller is dead and condemning murder. At one point he discussed vengeance, and how the Bible says vengeance “doesn’t belong to us, it belongs to [God.]” But he admitted being conflicted, saying he is happy that “babies in Kansas are safer today than they were yesterday while George Tiller was still taking in oxygen.”

If just ONE so called “anti-abortionist” would logically follow through ie fully support free and full birth control and education for ALL to prevent unwanted pregnancy. That would make this conversation almost obsolete. The countries AND the parts of the USA where sex eduation and birth control are available HAVE THE FEWEST ABORTIONS!
What about the vast majority of so called “pro lifers” who would “allow” an abortion for incest or rape? Would they then “allow” the killing of those children, once born?
Of course not! It's all about the sex. Approved sex or not-approved sex. So if the egg is fertilized by rape or incest, well, then….all is well. An abortion is approved. Too bad for that “baby”.
Their so called approval has nothing to do with the fertilized egg and is all about approving the sexuality of the woman. Is she a victim? Then she can have the procecure. Is it something else we moral police might not approve of? Too damn bad.
Again, nothing to do with the fertilized egg/so called “baby”.
The vast, VAST, V A S T majority of women who have so called late term “abortions” are having a medical procedure to remove a NON VIABLE (i.e. already dead or dead on arrival) fetus. And this is where Dr. Tiller's murder becomes so very tragic.
Dr. Tiller was providing health care for women.
The American Taliban who cheer his murder might just as well move to Pakistan or Afganistan where women are dying every day for lack of medical care…
