Mancow to the Slaughter

Matthew Yglesias reports that Mancow, the libertarian/conservative shock jock, had himself waterboarded as a stunt to prove that the practice was not torture. And then, well…

It is way worse than I thought it would be, and that’s no joke. It is such an odd feeling to have water poured down your nose with your head back…It was instantaneous…and I don’t want to say this: absolutely torture.

Some comments from HotAir.com readers:

In some circumstances saying “pretty please” just isn’t enough.

Let’s ask if we can yank out his fingernails.

Notice the laymen always get waterboarded. They never have bamboo shoved up their fingernails or a car battery hooked up to their testicles. Until Hitchens or Mancow chooses to experience bamboo fingernailing first-hand, there’s the suggestion that waterboarding is somehow different.

For his next trick, Mancow is going to have one of his fingers sawed off to see if it’s as bad as waterboarding.

They did survive having a house fly in the studio on Thursday.

Hilarious!

yeah we pretty much know what bamboo would feel like in your fingernails. but that isn't the actual feeling you get when your brain tells you your going to DIE. that is what the feeling of drowning gives you.

Can we just get all of the torture fans to move to a country where they'd feel more comfortable like Saddam era Iraq? Easy and done.

So, what's next? If the Girlie Man contingent gets to outlaw water splashing, are water balloon fights next on the agenda? How about college hazing? Dodge ball? Military training like running laps, push-ups and sit ups? Heavy Metal music?

Ah, yes. The slippery slope. You won't find a Lib answering the question, what's next?
