He reframes his argument that “the Democrats need a new speaker” in a Human Events column:
Speaker Pelosi has damaged America’s safety. She’s made America less secure by sending a signal to the men and women defending our country that they can’t count on their leaders to defend them. And every day they spend worrying about being politically persecuted is a day we are made more vulnerable to a nuclear attack on one of our cities, a biological attack on one of our subways, or a bomb going off in one of our malls. America is losing ground because of Nancy Pelosi’s contempt for those who defend her.
This is, of course, unsourced (which CIA agent has told Gingrich that he’s sweating and can’t do his/her job?) and sort of ridiculous. I expect Gingrich segments to run on cable news every hour for the rest of the day, capped with an appearance on one of the Fox News shows.

I think Newt Gingrich is 100% correctabout Pelosi. She definately should step down and if not, then the Democratic Party should replace her before she destroys their base.
