Lanny Davis Says Indict Cheney for Torture

Former Bill Clinton lawyer Lanny Davis is about as anti-progressive as you can get and still be a Democrat — here’s Davis in 2006 calling liberal opponents of Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) “McCarthyites” on the opinion page of The Wall Street Journal — and yet, via Greg Sargent, even this bastion of bipartisan establishmentarianism thinks it’s time to indict former Vice President Dick Cheney:

So as to Mr. Cheney: I think it is time to take him up on his implicit dare and indict him for violating the 1994 federal law against torture.

Not to do so, in light of Mr. Cheney’s arrogant public challenges, may reinforce the notion that Mr. Cheney can get away with lawbreaking, and be proud of it, because he is a former vice president, and because he is the tough, intimidating Dick Cheney who everyone (at least many) in the Bush administration feared.

I hereby pass Davis a ceremonial bong.

Our Rule Of Law needs to see these lawyers in the streets Leading Protests
Demanding Indictments for the Torturers and defending the Rule Of Law and Our Constitution.

But good for Davis.

The Bush/Cheney Criminals Tortured to get false intel to cover up their Iraq WMD Lies.

Over 34,000 US Soldiers would still be alive and un-maimed if My Democrats had bothered to Hold Impeachment Hearings on the Bush/Cheney Iraq WMD Lies.

TORTURE ! IS A FEDERAL CRIME – SEE The Law http://tinyurl.com/besdd3

It is Never Debatable and Never Morally Correct.
IT is a heinous Federal Capital Crime.

WHY IS OBAMA PROTECTING BUSH AND CHENEY?
They obviously violated Federal Law.
