I am by no means a Palin fan; I believe what she has done is not only degrading to women (anyone who says her gender had no effect on her being chosen is fooling themselves) but just as, if not more, insulting to any American than McCain. However, the reason I hold them in such high disdain is their dirty tricks and flat-out dishonest politics, and this is bordering on something I would expect to see from their camp. This is simply money well spent on improving a community in the places that need it; that's what government spending is supposed to do.

Palin is a liar, a phony and totally unqualified for any office.
A person that would stand before millions and totally distort who she is and
what she stands for is about as scary as they get.
Any person who thinks global warming is not man made, that God wanted
the Iraq war and supports the new pipe lines, tries to have books banned
from libraries, cuts substantial funding for disadvantaged children, wants
religion back in schools, fires anyone who disagrees with or does not obey'
her, would sacrifice the welfare of her family for the sake of ambition,
does not support birth control or sex education in schools, gives bounties
to those who hunt wolves, bears from helicopters and airplanes (for one
bounty to be paid requires the presentation of a wolf's leg) has a lawsuit'
because does not agree polar bears are nearing distinction, no woman's
choice, even in the case of rape, got 27 million in pork for her little town,
supported bridge to no where until she found out it wouldn't fly, but
kept the money and on and on and on CERTAINLY CANNOT BE IN ANY
POSITION OF RESPONSIBILITY for this great country of ours.

In reference to the person who says that some comments here that people are trying to equate earmarks to pork spending. Where did we all get that idea? The Republican party that's were – How many times have Republican's used the word “earmark” as a big dirty smear? A heck of a lot of time.

You're right – earmarks aren't necessarily pork spending – but if Sarah is going to say she is against the “evil earmarks,” she's a hypocrite. If she was saying that she won't support spending that is wasteful and inefficient, then maybe she'd have a point. She should starting thinking (if she can).

Forget about bin laden in afghanistan, lets hope we get some oil in iraq
Forget about the fact that CINDY McCAIN has ties to an abortion facility in arizona (google)
Forget about the fact that SARAH PALIN CALLED HILLARY A WHINNER.
Forget about the fact that sarah is avoiding the press to answer questions on the issues.

The issue is not whether earmarks are good or bad, appropriate or inappropriate. The issue is whether or not Palin is really who she says claims to be. She claims to be a reformer and says that ending Earmarks is proof that she is a reformer. This is clearly a lie.

There is a similar issues regarding her having "traditional family values". I for one do not care if a woman works or doesn't work, has a nanny or doesn't have one. It doesn't matter to me. But, I would think someone with "traditional family values" would want to stay at home with their infant child, or at least want to take a lesser role at work so that they can spend more time with their infant child. And, if someone wants to wear the moniker of "hockey mom", then her skills at being a mother should be under review.

Based on what I've seen and heard so far, either she's lying or delusional.
