The Hot Mics Strike Again

Via our sister site, The Minnesota Independent. As the McCain campaign circles the wagons around it’s likely vice presidential nominee, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin — who is scheduled to speak tonight at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul — a couple of “hot mics” over at NBC picked up a brutally candid conversation between Chuck Todd, GOP strategist Mike Murphy, conservative columnist Peggy Noonan about the wisdom of Sen. John McCain’s choice.

It seems not all conservatives are as ga-ga over Palin as the McCain camp would like us to believe. Take a look:

Noonan goes so far as to blast the McCain campaign for buying into “this political bullshit about narratives.” Not only has McCain bought it, he’s banking on it. After all, it was only yesterday that McCain campaign manager Rick Davis told the Washington Post that this election “isn’t about issues,” but rather “a composite view of what people take away from these candidates.” If Noonan is to be believed, Palin had better start delivering some substance real soon.

I think this type of candid comment on the dysfunctional woman who has wrecked some careers in Alaska will be suppressed over the next several weeks.
