"BAGHDAD, May 11 (Reuters) - The Iraqi Oil Ministry still considers contracts signed by the largely autonomous Kurdish region with foreign oil firms illegal, despite news this week it would allow exports from Kurdish fields through a national pipeline, a senior official said on Monday. "The Oil Ministry's position has not changed regarding the contracts signed by the Kurdish regional government with the foreign oil companies. Approving the Kurds to export does not mean approving the contracts they have signed," ministry spokesman Asim Jihad told Reuters."

Source.

Kurdish are the largest nation with out state, they have faught heard for year for their autonomy. after 1991 Kurds enjoyed independancy from baghdad under UN 's protection (no fly zone). Kurds have agreed to rejoin iraq if iraqis recognise their full rights. the minimum acceptable right to Kurds was stipulated in the iraqi constitution.

now iraq became stronger they want to change the constitution and marginalise Kurdish rights. Kurds have every right to resist this and make sure baghdad would never have power over the region and drak history would not be repeated.
