Sooooo….If Bradbury & Bybee say its OK to go jump in the lake then its OK to jump in the lake? Why is this even an issue? If we can justify ourselves by behaving according to a lawyer's sense of decency we are all in trouble.

What's the problem? I thought the rule is that, "If the president does it, it isn't illegal" -- despite the contrary clause in the Constitution which authorizes impeachment of a president for "High Crimes and Misdemeanors".

Methinks it's something like the patriotic Republican mantra:

"If you don't have anything to hide, what are you worried about?"

But transformed into their "other foot" syndrome: Because a legitimately-criminal class, Republicans are legally exempt from and above the law. Or: Welcome fo the WWII Germany of _1984_.
