John Hawkins wins the Internet:
When I was in college, I studied Southern Long Fist Kung Fu for more than a year and my teacher told me something that I never forgot.
I’d like to think that the F. Scott Fitzgerald rip is intentional. Sadly, the rest of the column is a call for conservative bloggers to “do opposition research on the journalists endlessly running stories about Bristol Palin and Joe the Plumber,” as if Palin and Wurzelbacher were shrinking violets who did not embrace their statuses as public figures.

He's calling for sleazy oppo research, something that would lower him to their level. The much better way to do things is to point out how they're wrong and leave it in a place where it's easy to find. At least that's what I do. Start entering a reporter's name into the tag search box in the right sidebar to see if I've got examples of them lying or misleading.

Finally! Good job John Hawkins. Finally the squishy Conservatives are getting some cajones and fighting back.
We Libertarians have been reluctant to align with our old Conservative cousins, cause they've been downright timid in their response to the rising Fascism of Democrats. Now, Hawkins, a well-respected Right Blogger, has a Clarion Call to Arms, and not a moment too soon.
Perhaps now we Libertarians can re-align with our Conservative cousins to fight the Fascist Left. But if they get week in the knees again, we'll once again go it alone.

Right, Eric. Conservatives have never engaged in dirty politics. They are so pure and innocent. The poor dears.
BTW, the fascism stuff sounds really, really stupid. Put down that talk radio and step away.

I like how Hawkins says conservative students should act up on campus when liberal speakers show up and should sue the university if they get any more detention than their liberal peers do. That won't work, John. The court system is too clogged up with frivolous lawsuits to hear detention cases. If there is a more glaring example of why we need tort reform now I don't want to see it.
