Obama Blasts Tea Parties — or Fox News?

I’m not sure Alex Burns is right when he reports that “President Barack Obama took direct aim at the anti-tax ‘tea party’ demonstrations” in Missouri.

Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I am not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to… [list of Obama priorities].

This struck me not as an attack on protesters (which would be a strange thing for a community organizer to do) but an attack on Fox News, its pundits, and its Republican guests. When I think of “folks waving tea bags” I think of Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.) literally waving tea bags and saying “I’ve got my tea bags here! Pick your brand!”

This seems like classic presidential media-bashing more than mockery of the protests themselves. But it doesn’t really matter, because the protesters are taking offense (and relishing the attention) anyway.

There's a more intelligent analysis of what BHO did here. Of course, the same applies to everything else both TWI and I cover.

When will Faux Noise and the teabaggers tire of making a mockery of themselves? The “teabagging” party fizzled out like the joke that it was. Hardly anyone showed up, the total head count was in the hundreds. More people, possibly ten times more, showed up for the protests against the Nato bombing of Serbia, a country that didn't exist until recently.

Obama and company are so thin skinned it is pathetic. All they do is whine about what they inherited, and attack anything and anyone who does not agree with them. This is America and he is supposed to be the president of ALL THE PEOPLE, not just his select group. To attack Middle American’s who are showing their dissatisfaction of their Government (that is all the Government, both parties) shows just how immature and insecure this presidency is, if you ask me.
