How do you keep the people that advocated or did torture and say we will not torture anymore? How do you say those that tortured were just following orders, and that torturing is a crime and then not investigate who enabled or ordered someone to commit the crime?

How do you ensure that we will not someday again torture if you accept the I was following orders defense?

I think all the BS about the need, the quality of the results, the fact that we only tortured bad guys, I was told to do it and all the rest of the excuses is crap.

If I was in the CIA and did not torture I would be angry about the guilt by association.

Lets simply have a through investigation by a neutral investigator and put all this in the past.
