My name is Rick Hayes , I am one of the founders of the Freeland Walleye Festival. We have never donated fish to anyone nor do we intend to . This story started with a poor reporting job from the Michigan Messenger. We are well aware of the fish advisories issued by the State Health department. We are also aware of the test results of the walleye in our river system which compare to farm raised salmon you buy in a grocery store. A sure sign of spring in Michigan is some whack job writing a misleading article on dioxin in the Saginaw Bay water Shed
