And the winner in the “Who Can Milk the Department of Homeland Security ‘Rightwing Extremist’ Report the Hardest” contest is … the Thomas More Law Center, which has filed a (hilarious) lawsuit against DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.
The non-profit law firm said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s “rightwing extremism policy,” reflected in an Intelligence Assessment publicized last week, violates the civil liberties of combat veterans as well as American citizens by targeting them for disfavored treatment on account of their political beliefs.
The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan on behalf of conservative radio talk show host, Michael Savage, Gregg Cunningham (president of the pro-life organization Center for Bio-Ethical Reform, Inc.), and Iraqi War Marine veteran Kevin Murray.
Via Charles Johnson, who has a PDF of the suit and points out that the Center previously sued on behalf of the Dover, Penn. creationists. The part that jumps out in my quick read:
Plaintiff Murray believes that the Obama administration’s policies are leading to the creation of a world government that would usurp the sovereignty of the United States and the authority of its Constitution, thereby infringing upon his liberty.
Pursuant to the federal government’s “Rightwing Extremism Policy,” Plaintiff Murray is a “rightwing extremist,” subjecting him to government scrutiny, investigation, surveillance, and intimidation.
Of course, Murray has a constitutional right to think that his president is part of a trans-global conspiracy to destroy America.

How the HECK did this INTERNAL law-enforucement 9-page report get sent out to the right-wing press?
Are Bush's burrowed hacks doing this sort of thing? Should not there be an internal investigation and have the person who leaked this CANNED??

funny. they weren't so concerned when GW Bush put out the exact same report on the “left wing extremists.”
seriously. a lil more consistency in their manufactured outrage would go along way towards convincing me their not just transparently partisan hacks.
but i think thats the point. they ARE transparently partisan hacks so i shouldn't expect better

Mr. Murray has been subjected to “government scrutiny, investigation, surveillance, and intimidation” since Bush put in place the Patriot Act (as were we all). Why hasn't it bothered him for the last eight years?

The Thomas More Center is the same group that effectively bankrupted the Dover, PA school district by offering free representation in defense of their ridiculous Intelligent Design policy, but failed to mention that they would owe a couple million in attorney's fees to the other side if they lost. DHS has little to fear from this crackerjack squad.

These nut jobs have actually filied a law suit against Obama's government ???
Everyone knows lawsuits against Obama are dispositive indicators of future violent Terrorist acts.
Just like children the wings off flies means they will grow up to be Social Paths and Serial Killers.
Obama needs to have these people picked up and Water Boarded, err I am sorry, I keep forgetting, forcing a prisoner to watch the first lady dance is “the new Water Boarding”.
Still working on that and “Overseas Contingency Action” being “the new War on Terror”.

Great thinking, but what about all those law enforcement agencies who may have closet right-wing sympathizers, or employees who might be sleeping with a right wing sympathizer.
( Before you start in, I know, I know, anyone with right wing political view is too stupid to actually hold a job as a police officer, but there are janitors, secretaries and spouses of law enforcement officers you know. )
We need to not only find the source of this leak but implement political re-education for all police officers, other employees of police agencies and their spouses.
That is the kind of change that will really make a difference.

Hello,
I filed my same Lawsuit against the DHS Janet Napolitano and Eric Holder for there same involvement in the violations as to my Consitutional and Civil Rights. Federal Court in the District of Colorado and was signed by the Judge and accepted in the Federal Court as well.

It’s about time that good people take a stand against this type of takeover of our Liberties and Freedom.
A foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) report circulating in the Kremlin, statedthat the tip US Federal Judge for the State of Arizona was assassinated barely 72 hours after he made a critical ruling against the “Obama Administrations plan to begin the confiscation of their citizen’s private retirement and banking accounts in order to stave off their nations imminent economic collapse” and after having the US Marshals protecting Judge Roll “Removed.”
According to this SVR report, Judge Roll this past Friday issued what is called a preliminary ruling in a case titled “United States of America v case Number (4:2010cv00703 Filed Nov. 30,2010.)
This report was about bulk cash smuggling into or out of the United States that the Obama Administration clamed was their right to seize under what are called “Presidential Executive Orders, instead of using esixting laws.

this correct and Iam prepared pto fight this Communistic bitc* to the hilt. Including Mr. US Attorney that protects Muslims instead of Americans. So the only way they are going ot stop me is to murder me . That is what they are good at. Murder right or just makiing you dissapear. So if anything happens to me I have a letter that is being held by some thoughtful people and when in fct I dissappear or am murdered for standing up for my rights and the rights of others in this country that actually give a dam. Then it will be released and the consqences after the fact ewill be devastating.

DHS has don nothig but cost money as the head of security claimed , yes thats right claimed AL Qeada or the Taliban did this on 9/11. THer eis no proof to any claim they have made and also 9/10/2001 Rumsfeld stated in a confereence that the Dep. of Defense cannot account for $2.3 trillion that was gone spent or just lost as they coulod not account for such funding. IRS is going ot audit them, yeah right. They supported terrorist such as Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Oman, Afghanistan, WTF. This is exactly where the money went other than the money they may have taken themselves. This is all ture and factual as th e cables are rlelvant to the actual loss of $2.3 trillion dollars up to 9/10/2001 .
