Way More Than 27 Members of Congress Were Potentially Wiretapped

I put together a preliminary list yesterday of 27 members of Congress who visited the Middle East in 2005 and 2006 — making them, per The New York Times, possible victims of illegal National Security Agency surveillance. Sadly, the release of the Bush administration Office of Legal Counsel memos and putting together another piece meant I didn’t have time to follow through. But luckily, The Huffington Post’s readers have gone hard at it, at the behest of HuffPoster Ryan Grim. Check out their list. And add to it in comments if you can. After that, come to my house and whitewash my fence. It’s good times.
