Commentary’s Abe Greenwald doesn’t see anything wrong with forcing a detainee into a “confinement box” for an hour and allowing him to believe that he’ll be stung to death by the unspecified thing that he can’t see but that’s crawling on him. He must have read “1984″ as a counterterrorism how-to manual. But still, it’s good to see there are people out there forthrightly defending torture, as it’ll come in handy when they want to lecture the rest of us on morality in warfare.
