Is It Worth Pointing Out That Glenn Beck Is Either Incompetent Or a Liar?

Apropos of the Glenn Beck clip that Dave posted, I suppose it misses the point to note that Beck is either incompetent or lying when he says President Obama’s 4-percent increase to the defense budget cuts “national defense,” or releasing Guantanamo detainees onto the streets without process, not to mention correcting any of the other slanders Beck aired. The bleating squeals of white over-privilege are what they are. Notice how he screams that Obama is “spending money that leads only to slavery.” In an earlier era this puny man likely would have stood in a schoolhouse doorway.

It's amazing how some think all the spending of billions of dollars and expanding government can be anything but slavery. When you take a look at Britain and France rioting in the streets, burning tires, bashing banks you have to wonder why the outrage? These Social states distribute the wealth right? Everyone one gets equal rights, equal health care, equal job oppurtunity based on intelligence. Sounds pretty good! Didn't the slaves in early America get equal treatment such as housing, food rations, and beatings? Can you imagin waking up everyday in a social society KNOWING you have little chance of getting ahead and a really good chance of having half your check taking each week in tax's to support government programs! The protesters could do little but riot. They did every thing the government forced them to do and it didn't work! Whats next? RIOT!

4% on the bottom line in DoD is a cut. Paying more for the troops, retirements and medical care as a percent and the track record: acquisitions grow in cost at double digits and the shoddy stuff costs so much more to try and use (about 67% of DoD budget goes to the broken acquisition process) ………

Price inflation in the defense sector is several times the rest of the economy.

That is why the FY 10 budget is the same in adjusted dollars as the 1970 budget with less than half the troops and structure.

Over invested in capital the DoD needs to get better results from the money.
