"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."

International Treaties ARE the Supreme Law of the Land. Per a little read (apparently) document call the CONSTITUTION. People who claim otherwise, claim that obeying these treaties are inherently UN-Constitutional should have been paying more attention in High School civics class.

In this like in many things ('Fiat' currency, income tax) many people on the are simply operating out of a Constitution that exists only in their imaginations.

We're suppose to be a Nation a of Laws. If we are, then why would international law be a political loser? It begs the question what international laws are so repugnant to our legal system that we can't overcome?
