Frank Defends Immigrants in Housing Debate

Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) took a podium before a banking convention this morning with the clear goal of alleviating industry fears over the Democrats’ plans to reform the finance industry this year.

But Frank also spent a good deal of his floor time dispelling the notion that the housing crisis is somehow the fault of immigrants for taking out loans they couldn’t afford — a myth fueling some conservatives’ calls for an immigration crackdown.

Rather, Frank argued, policymakers should be encouraging home-ownership for legal immigrants, who contribute extensively, he said, to the entrepreneurial spirit of the country.

“Lazy people don’t become immigrants,” said the chairman of the House Financial Services. “It’s the risk-takers that immigrate.”

Frank is using an old political trick; when in the corner – like for pushing loan associations and banks to loan money to unqualified people for housing – change the arguement. An answer isn't needed and there is arguement that qualified people – immigrant or not – can get appropriate loans, when there is money, that is. Period. So why is Frank barking so loud?

We do not need to pay for homes for illegals.
Facts
FBI most eanted list 87 of the top 100 are illegals
more than 67,000 Americans have been killed by illegals since Sept.11,2001.That is more lives lost on American streets than in Afganestan and Iraq combined.
Barney needs to be impeached. He is one of the creators of the finantial problems that we are now having.

Yes all those women who come here and have 4-8 anchor babies on the dole are real risk takers.
