This is hardly strong evidence of "Neocons For Obama", and is much more indicative of classic Neoconservative behavior: scurrying away from accepting responsibility for their own past actions. Where were the Neconservatives back in December 2001 through 2002 on the issue of War in Afghanistan? They were downplaying the significance of pressing after America's true enemy, pretending that Tora Bora had not been a massive failure, and that important elements of al Qaida's leadership had not escaped into the Pakistan frontier. They were successfully fomenting a war against Iraq on false premises, and engaging in the war is the reason that al Qaida was able to lick its wounds and metastasize. Let me know when Kristol steps up and accepts responsibility for this. Until then, it is best to remember that Billy Crystal is a comedian, but Billy Kristol is an evil clown.

Given that the Neocons (at least the foreign policy ones) mostly have their origins in working with the likes of Daniel Patrick Moyhihan and Scoop Jackson, this is hardly surprising. They are at heart extreme pro-Israeli interventionists and it really doesn't matter who is in power, as long as it suits their ends.

I think that there are still a lot of challenges, and you can expect that it will not always be easy and that he will have to make many tough and unpopular decisions. People might enjoy this list of the top ten signs the president’s gig is harder than you thought: http://www.toptentopten.com/topten/signs+presid...

Are you sure this wasn't Robert Kagan, not Fred, who made this remark?
