EVERY problem this country has can be traced directly to illegal immigration from illegal drug distribution and hooking middle and grade schools on drugs to prostitute American companies such as Wal Mart hiring illegal Mexicans over American citizens to bought and paid for politicians such as the Kenyan racist Obama. The disaster called public eduction to the hundreds of billions spent every year by the federal government and state government on food stamps legalizing 50 million illegal immigrants including MILLIONS of illegal Mexican criminals is a crime against the American people period and the Kenyan should not be allowed to run for National dog catcher but we still have ignorant anti American sob’s like Kerry and Reid the American people are screwed!

It is just plain commonsense that such an attitude is neither dignified nor patriotic and will only not only make us weaker as people and as a country but would also well result in losng our global leadership position and our prosperity. The only fair reason for anyone complaining should be if someone is not working as hard or as good but getting paid better and if that were to be happening here this country will begin in a downward spiral toward losing its prosperity and its global leadersip position.

With all these problems people hospitals and schools feel angered and burdened about, can't someone make a suggestion to directly bill the federal government. What I mean is when someone who is an illegal immigrant seeks help at a hospital you need to allow that hospital to bill the federal government directly. That would begin to lessn the anger that folks like in Arizona feel!

For one thing you are prejudiced…for example you line yourselves up against the moslems as if the Moslems have no point at all for example….listen you went to war against the moslems and you killed a lot of people so that the lost tribe of the Jews would take the palestinians land away from them!! You went to war for the wrong causes….though the Israelis may have some rights they do not have the right to persecute those people which is what they are doing….yet you direct yourselves against them…all the while funding tremendous deficits against us here!!! This war is killing us!!! And they are wars that we will lose, guaranteed…they are not winnable..

This war is wrong and for as long as you set yourselves against the end of it you will never ever have enough to stop illegal immigration….you will lose the battle and the war!!!! I mean what I say, and I guarantee the eventual outcome….if you want justice you must give justice, not expect justice when you yourselves are unjust…

If you want to stop illegal immigration you must first stop insisting on carrying on this exceedingly destructive war…a war that represents nothing of the American people's true aspirations and manifest destiny….only then can you gather the political force needed to stop illegal immigration which frankly will kill this nation if it is not stopped….these two issues are the two most important issues in this nation and they are the two most destructive but you cannot solve one without the other.

Hi All,

America is a country of immigrants. People who came here have always been very enterprising and determined to make a great name for this country and for themselves and surely thenceforth this country has become the greatest on earth. All people who came here sacrificed their family and friends whom they left behind to achieve their dream in this land of opportunity. No wonder this country has thence become the best and greatest in the world. To discourage immigrants, who are competing in a global economy is not only detrimental to the continued greatness and prosperity of this country, but also harmful to all Americans and to our country by allowing us to rest on the laurels of our predecessors and expecting to be landed jobs in our lap without having to compete openly in this global village.

The right thing for all Americans is to stop resting on the laurels of our predecessors and instead continue to show the same zeal and hard work that our forefathers displayed thus making this country the greatest. Indeed most Americans understand this and that is what continues to keep our country most prosperous. However some of us who like to just have what we are used to or what we want without wanting to openly compete in this global economy is just harming ourselves. It is neither right or fair thinking but only harmful both in short term and the long term.

I thus think that passing of the comprehensive immigration reform is in the best interest of Americans and our country. It will only continue to make our country prosperous and great. The only people who are harmful to our country are criminals/drug traffickers and they are the ones we should get rid of.

May God give us the courage and strength to continue to compete openly in this gobal village without fearing people who are better contributors than us and thus continue to keep this country the most prosperous and the most blessed nation on earth. Amen

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but I just have to say, Key, are you a dumb f**k? Did you even read the comment that you replied so rudely to? Do you know anything at all about immigration law or the fees that these people are supposed to pay before they can come here legally in the first place? I doubt you do, because administrative and application fees differ for various countries. Do you know anything about how some of those 40 million illegals got here in the first place? Some of them are actually brought here quite legally as refugees and then 20 years later when their refugee status expires, they all the sudden find themselves being illegal – by that time, they have families established here. What about the ones who are told that they are perfectly legal, have paid tens of thousands of dollars to come here, only to find out when they apply for something like a license, that some jackass gave them fake papers? No, that's right, I guess you don't know about those instances. I find it quite interesting that people like to run their mouths about things they don't have a clue about. I ESPECIALLY FIND IT AMUSING WHEN PEOPLE FEEL THE NEED TO SPEAK IN ALL CAPS – because they think they are “getting a point accross,” when really they just look stupid for trying to yell. How exactly do you know that this woman DID know that her husband was illegal when they got married? Oh, and since those children are as good as illegal to you, then why don't we just let you and your family and your children pay the taxes that those three million children with at least one undocumented parent will be paying. I don't think illegal immigration is right, and I'm not supporting it – but I think people like you should quit bitching about it and start doling out ideas to make the situation better. Bitch about illegals not paying taxes. Well duh, if illegals weren't illegal anymore, then they'd be required to pay taxes too.
To those who think the illegals are stealing your jobs – do some research and ask the employers why they employ illegals. It's got nothing to do with substandard pay. I came from an area where there was a huge amount of illegal immigrants and almost all of them made more than I did – I have a college education – I'm a nurse for God's sake. Here's the real reason why – it's true that Americans won't do the same jobs. Go to a construction site and ask the foreman who the best worker they have is. Guaranteed they will all tell you it's someone NOT American – and I'm not saying that those people are hispanics either. There are immigrants in this country from all over the world, they are both illegal and legal. They are here because they are looking for opportunity, and when opportunity knocks, an immigrant opens the damned door. Americans sit around looking at each other saying, the next time someone knocks the opportunity will be better. Immigrants work harder, stronger, faster, and longer than Amercians, because Americans believe that they should be paid more and do less. Lazy bastards. Maybe if we as a country didn't make it so opportunistic by leaving jobs available before the recession, then immigrants would find opportunities elsewhere and not choose to come to our country.
And yes, we all came from somewhere. It was and has been for a very long time been theorized that Native Americans (including all of the natives from the North, Central, and South Americas) came here by way of a land bridge connecting the Americas and Asia.
To sum up my thoughts about illegal immigration – it's a fact of life, and it happens, no matter where you live, where you're from, or where you're going, there will always be “illegal immigration.” Go back and read your history books – even the greatest civilizations of all time eventually succumbed to outside invasion. This should pretty well teach us all that sitting around groaning about it gets you nowhere. Rather, the United States government needs to make some serious changes to our current immigration laws to cope with the situation at hand. Defiance and stubborness on our part is why our healthcare system is shutting down – we can't possibly afford to pay for the debt we incur on a daily basis because we refuse to adapt and incorporate the illegals into our system. I can't personally say what all the changes are that need to be made, of course, that's why I'm not sitting around bitching about the problem!

If “everyone came from somewhere”, as you say, then where did the American Indians come from? In other words, are any people indigenous to their current land?
Your's is a fellacious argument, one which is generally put forth by bleeding hearts.
Invoking the quest for freedom also doesn't help your case. America is free because we have been, traditionally, willing to fight to preserve our way of life. This way of life includes, and is predicated upon, the following of laws. There can be no rationalizing the willingness of some to break the laws of a country they will, presumably, take a vow to uphold the laws of. Additionally, if some Americans are lazy and spoiled, relying on the government for alot of things, others are over-achievers and make the most of what this country has to offer. Either path is OK, not necessarily admirable, but OK, because they are entitled to the freedom of choice as American citizens.
Lastly, there is not a single American citizen I know that is “selfish” about legal migration. Quite the contrary, I, and others like me, welcome all people of all colors, nationalities and beliefs, so long as they enter this great country LEGALLY!! All others do not belong here and should be forced to leave. If they come back legally, they can look me up and I'll be the first to give them a welcome hug.
