Anti-EFCA Group Bashes Gallup Poll
Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 1:44 pm
Gallup is out today with a poll that puts support for “a new law that would make it easier for labor unions to organize workers” at 53 percent, to only 39 percent who oppose it. Labor is touting the poll, but Save Our Secret Ballot, whom I wrote about last month, is having none of this.
“The Union’s poll is beyond worthless,” said SOSB National coordinator Tim Mooney, referring to Gallup. “The Union poll tested the concept of making it easier to join a union, not the language of the proposed legislation. Save Our Secret Ballot tested its actual constitutional language to guarantee a secret ballot for all elections including union organizing elections. While just a bare majority supported the conceptual Union position, an overwhelming 85 percent of voters favor the actual language of the amendment to constitutionally protect secret ballots.”

Death to the corporate whores and the middle class traitors who support corporatism. I'm willing to bet that half of the people who oppose EFCA, haven't even been in a union.

I agree with Daniel..If these people knew what goes on while union organizers are FORCED to wait for this secret ballot vote to take place they might change their opinion. They need to research the NLRB to find out that there were over 30,000 reported violations by comapnies just last year…and guess what penalties these companies get…none!…but they get trewarded because their facility doesn't become a union either thanks to their tactics. Look people..all this bill does is grant those that want to be a union that priveledge when they sign the card (which means they would also be voting to be union if there was a secret vote) without the company threatening to terminate them
