Manchurian Blues

Kevin Hassett, writing for Bloomberg, comes up with what he probably thinks is a clever column theme.

Imagine that some hypothetical enemy state spent years preparing a “Manchurian Candidate” to destroy the U.S. economy once elected. What policies might that leader pursue?

I’m curious: Did Hassett not know that “Obama = secret agent” is a wildly popular theme on the fringe right? Here’s a smattering of comments about his column at Lucianne.com.

Soetoro has been referred to as the al-Mansourian candidate even before the s-election for a looooong time by folks like us.

I wish we’d stop dancing around Soetoro’s INTENT to destroy America an re-build it as a commie sh*tehole.

Barry Soetero was once an Indonesian citizen, traveling on an Indonesian passport. Now look, that itinerant is President.

I don’t know whether Hassett was aware of this when he wrote his column, but he should be now. “So Kevin,” asked one commenter, “how long have you been lurking at Lucianne?”

And to ensure they got him in they would definitely want to pick a young liberal black man from Chicago as their candidate.

The crazy is everywhere. In fact for most of the crazies it is much better to make up crazy about Obama than it is to reflect on the fact that they were supporting a failed ideology and destroying the country with their selfish, sociopathic pretend president, the much disliked Bush and his evil overlord Dick Cheney.
Obama isn't perfect, but he's a damn sight better than McCain and Palin would have been.
